Sitting in the Imaging waiting room at CNC Monroe (local hospital). Judy has taken a turn for the worse. She complains of numbness on her right side, and has fallen twice since late yesterday afternoon.
She called her doctor, and he immediately called for another CT scan.

Oh my. Papaw I sure hope Judy is okay. I just said a prayer for her. Please keep us informed.

Chak, glad to hear Mama Chak is home now!

Ummm, know that feeling well, Papaw. So sorry to hear Judy's not feeling well. Is it BP related? If it was numbness on the left side I'd say heart trouble, but it still could be the heart. Didn't Hula have a falling spell way back when...? I forget what she said was causing that.

Prayers being sent

@1atom12 You should look at this video. It is long but the section that, I feel, should be of interest to you starts at about 30:00 into it. Scroll past the other stuff....really long but I think that vendors should pay attention to what is said about the 30:00 mark or so.

Thoughts and prayers. Hope everything goes well.

And happy for you, Chak, that Mama's back home. You gonna get her healthy and then go on a Harley ride! :)

Chak, SO pleased that Mama is on her way to good health. You both need to take it easy. Adrenalin only lasts so long, and can really flatten you when it runs out.

Papa, I'm sending prayers for Judy. Please keep us updated. We're all in the waiting room with you.

Aww, bless you Chak. But no, Hula was just a klutz and landed on her face because she walked right into the kerb with both feet while trying to keep from getting mashed by a car that was overtaking a bus on a left turn lane, where pedestrians had right of way at that moment. Lost a tooth and had stitches.

Now my hubs has fallen 4 times in just a couple of months. But his situation is caused by foot numbness (diabetes). He couldn't feel his foot, so it would drag and catch the pavement sending him sprawling. Now he has a prosthetic that looks like a shoe horn inserted in the back of the shoe with a metal sticky up bit that supports the back of the calf and lifts his foot when he steps forward.

Oh, then it must have been that everyone kept talking about it making it seem like more than once.

Diabetes, I gotta watch out for that one - runs in the family, along with cancer and heart disease. Bunch of drinking and smoking in my family on both sides. (And they wonder why we became such party animals in high school) LOL :headbang:

My Granddad on mom's side died from it and both uncles (one died from shock trauma when they amputated his leg to the knee) Geez, all this talk about getting old and sick makes me wanna ride hard and die young! :rickroll:

Checking back in. Judy is having another complication from her 'radiology treatment' that erased the cluster headaches but left scarring on the left side of her brain. This is why she has lost 80% - 90% of her functions on her right side.
Today her CT scan shows swelling has returned to the area. She is back on a steroid she has taken before. It reduces the swelling and helps her healing, but causes insomnia and emotional swings. Lord, this poor young lady has had more than her share of bad luck between men and health.

Ah, I seem to remember you talking about that before. Sorry she's having such a rough time. Being there for her helps, but there's only so much you can do.
