Papaw, that is rough news right there. I am so sorry to hear this. That young lady has had a terrible time. I hope her young man is a comfort to her. I know you must feel helpless. Just knowing you are there for her, no matter what, WILL help her. Having people you can count on when times are tough, makes times like this a little better. Keep us updated. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Wish I had a Harley to trailer. One of these days. Realistically and sadly, probably not till after Sue's gone. She still thinks she's not going to last till year's end.
That's a helluva way to have to come by your ride Chak . But on a happier note , given any thought as to what kinda Hog you want ?

Wow. Yes, too many health issues. Yesterday I had a skin check for a mole growth. Doc said it was "concerning" and removed it. I get the pathology report back next week. It was on my leg, and the removal caused some pain. I'm just thinking all is well, it's gone and nothing to worry about. Ugh.

When I was younger I thought I'd get the Low Rider. Going back to their webpage I'm thinking the Night Rod Special looks pretty hot

I have a couple of those I need to get looked at... one of these days. I know, I shouldn't put it off, but with no insurance and no students (no students = no $$) that's hard to do. I'm getting my ticker checked out nest month maybe I can have my cardio dr take a look at them.

Good morning Army. My laptop decided to upgrade me to Windows 10 and didn't give me a choice. Took forever! Don't notice much of a difference...yet.
Mine keeps asking but I refuse. I cannot remember but alot of the reviews mentioned not to do it if you have w7.

I miss W7. W8 came with my laptop so I was stuck with it.
Yes something I read said the upgrade was better suited for w8 then 7. I just wish I can get rid of the upgrade window that keeps popping up.

That pop up window is irritating! About as irritating as ECF's "Want Free Vape Gear" pop up. Grr!!! :grr:

Truthfully, I have seen little difference so far in W10. Whatever. At least that irritating pop up window will go away. That alone made it worth the time.

Yup , fast , stable , clean , and it's free ! No more antivirus or spyware scans to worry about . Windows is a PITA compared to Linux .
You mean this Linux is a whole new operating system? Like no more windows?

yup. it's a whole different OS.
But don't worry, it can play your music, videos, browse the web, open your docs and so on.
It has Office (LibreOffice instead of M$ Office) and basically everythig the every-day user needs. (And much more)

However, if you rely on some special Windows-only software - or just to be safe for a start - you can keep Windows next to Linux. You can then decide which OS to run every time you turn on your PC/Notebook/Whatever.

Great to hear that Linux finally makes it in the "mainstream PC users" world. To me, being a software developer for as long as I can think, Linux is normal since the nineties. I've really lost touch to Windows since version 7 or so. XP was the last Win I (had to) used productively.
And now, my relatives think I'm stoopid 'cause I can't help them with their everyday Windows problems any more. "you da PC wizz, you always been. You just don't want to help" :D
