My vehicle is also very old. (16 years) I thought you had to have a working car horn, or you can't get your inspection passed?

@Opinionated I'm definitely not the latest and greatest car gal. in fact I've been out shopping for cars a few times and am annoyed with all the extra cameras and gadgets! My airbags don't work, have to have a blanket over the back seat bc the leather has cracked so much the foam pokes thru. I painted the oxidation stains myself, not a bad job but not great, power steering is hit or miss.. my horn doesn't work... somehow that's tied to the airbags. It's just not terribly safe, not smart to fix everything at this point.

Evening......Got my hearing adjusted again this morning before work. Seems to have helped a little with the voice recognition. But it'll take a few weeks to know for sure. I need to get another set and put these in the drawer for backup. They're marked on my medical card so I'm not legal work without them. Sucks.

We were supposed to have big weather here with potential flooding. Looks like it missed us completely. Not a drop.

We could use some rain also, but I don't want 9 inches. Around here, it's usually feast or famine. Either we are in an extreme drought or it is absolutely flooding.

We need rain again. It's not so bad the grass is browning but just don't want it to get to that point.

Good evening Army. Did some grocery shopping and pool time. I've been re-reading a book about Ava Gardner. Almost done with it and I turn a page and there is black stuff in the spine area. Holy crap! It's ashes from when I smoked. Yep, bought the book back in 2006...I was still smoking.

How weird to have that 'reminder' show it's face after so long.

It's been another nice lazy day.

Good morning Army.

Hubby had fun with a little lizard showing up in his shower this morning

I had to be rescued from a tree frog Sunday morning. I had a few items hanging on the clothes line, brought a frog in with them! I don't do frogs...

We got rain here Saturday night. There's an inch and a half in my rain gauge. Still enjoying the cooler temps. It was amazing today.

No auto inspections here anymore either.

I don't like any outdoor critters getting indoors.

I must admit hubby coming out of the bathroom with shampoo in his hair and soaking wet was hysterical! The lizard made his presence known by running between his feet.

I just thank god it didn't happen to me. ROFL!

Out west here it could have been a scorpion-I'd run out on that!

Many years ago I rented a duplex in Fort Worth. I was taking my first shower in my new place and felt something on my foot. It was a gigantic cockroach about 3 inches long! That is a "no deal"!!

I don't mind frogs, lizards or most critters, although I prefer them to stay outside. But cockroaches or scorpions? Just no.

My wife has a phobia about a bird getting in the house. It's never happened, but I think she'd fall over dead from fright if it did.

Not a fan of the bugs and outdooor creatures in my home either. I had a bat in my house a few years ago and thought i was going to die. I've gotten immune to the scorpions, but i haven't seen any in my new place.

Another work day done. 2 more to go.

Robin, you could have probably heard me scream if a lizard was in my shower!

April, how did you get the bat out?

I can do without the scorpions too, but we have them pretty often. Y'all remember the incident with the one in our bed? I think it got me 6x and the hubs 2x. Still gives me the willies.

Thanks BK and Cats. I will have to look at my paperwork from before. They don't usually write it out in layman's terms very well, from the dealership. I know they supposedly resurfaced the flywheel.

ummm either you have a weird car or they took you on that... the flywheel is at the front of the motor ( its called a hybalencer)
they might have resurfaced the clutch plate, but that sounds expensive to do... cheaper to replace it, and besides, the clutch assembly comes as a whole kit ( throw out bearing, clutch discs, clutch plate, springs plate)
