Mornin'

Today's donuts came with music by Mr. Bullfrog-- I don't know if that's his real name, or just a stage name. A pair of crows joined in later to sing a duet. We had a heavy rain and hail storm yesterday, so the lake had a mysterious mist hovering over the water.

On the way up to the lake, I had to wait for an ambulance running full code. I heard other sirens in the background as well. Please send up a little prayer and good thoughts for the passenger in the back that he got the help needed and will be back with his people soon.

Done :nun:

I'm preparing to be a football widow again this year. Hubby has red zone and is glued to that each time
I was a "watch only my team" gal till I played fantasy. Now I can't miss a game! Made it to the Super Bowl last year but lost.

Are we talking football?

I got way into fantasy last year, just for fun leagues, and i'm making my draft lists...

Kaepernick is not on it ;) ugh... that young man...

League commissioner in three private leagues. Been that way for twelve years.

Kaepernick is not on my board, either.

Hoping your beloved Ravens don't sign Kaepernik.

As a Veteran, and a borderline Libertarian, I have no problem with Colin Kaepernick speaking out for a reasonable cause. But he needs to choose a better platform to speak from.
Face it, sports are an escape. Much like movies or television, people are drawn to the event for entertainment. Not political stances.

Good morning/afternoon everyone! TGIF! I don't know why I still say that. I work pretty much every day. That's one downside of your office being a few feet away from you at all times. One of my favorite upsides is the short commute. :)

April, sending out prayers for you, your aunt and your family.

And now, it's back to work. Hugs to all!

No flooding by us , BK and I are in the suburbs the city proper had issues , pumps weren't turned on and heads are rolling in NOLA because of it . Too bad you aren't closer to us , I'd set you up with a Linux installation , no more pc BS.

Thanks for the thought. Even Linux has got the low life scum out hoping for an easy pay day. Some of that may be their competitors who knows? Or it could be some Cheeto eating, basement dwelling ...... doing it for kicks.
Or it could be someone/group from another country. Now that smart phones abound, you have people connecting from all over the world.

Long story short....I rarely use Edge, but decided to since I couldn't see everything on a website I wanted to see. So I look at that site, no issue. When you pull Edge up, MSN comes up too. So I look at the top stories before I am going to close the browser. I made the fateful mistake of going to the clickbait, and I'm doing okay. Then all of a sudden I get a verbal warning over my speakers, and a text message on the screen telling me I have just been infected with some trojan.worm... It went into great detail and made it sound legit, and the spelling was correct. It said to contact Microsoft Tech Support immediately and gave the toll free number to call...you know the drill. You couldn't close the browser either. So I do two scans, and find nothing. I decide to go into Safe Mode, and even though I had notes from before written down, Microsoft decided to change the Safe Mode arena, and jump through multiple hoops to get there. I want to hit F8 and be done with it. Everything seems to be working fine except my printer won't print...even though it goes through the motion of it. I am supposed to be okay on the black ink level. It worked fine not long ago. We've had one or two updates since then. This is an old printer, and I may be out of ink. So on and on this type of thing goes. I downloaded two anti-rootkit tools, and scanned with those...just a bunch of wasted time. I spent hours messing with this stuff. I went on one rabbit trail, then another. Let's say I wasn't a happy camper.

The thing is that nothing in Linux is executable without permission , even if you click on it ,it has nowhere to go , If I get those messages I laugh at them . I have a nuke button on the panel that kills all running apps , no problem shutting down the browser . The Linux teams response time to threats is much faster than MS's as well , updates are more frequent than Windoze as well as a lot faster to download and implement . I also maintain more than one version of Linux on my hdd so I always have a way in , I can have 4 versions of Linux in the space of one Windoze install , and scan anything including Windoze from any of them . Windoze won't allow that , we'll just pretend that nasty Linux installation doesn't exist . Head in sand approach . :)

My husband has Linux on his computer and prefers it.. the only reason I don't use Linux is that you cannot run programs like Photoshop on it.. Which sucks because I'm not getting Windows 10 when that becomes the only Windows option, ill just have to stop using Photoshop.
