Good afternoon, Army.

We got the cold front in late last night, early this morning. I have windows open and just enjoying the fresh air! Actually it is a little chilly in here right now. I took the opportunity to clean all the window sills and that dirt collection area between the window and the sill. I should do the windows tomorrow. I use a squeegee so it is really quick but still a pain.

Need to figure out how to do these tilt in windows without breaking them ROFL.

I had quite a DUH moment here over the summer. Turns out that cleaning windows here in the height of summer is a no go. The Windex dried as quickly as I put it on thanks to the hot wind and blazing sun. Hot glass + Windex = streaky city. I can clean fast but not *that* fast!

Next attempt is vinegar + water and a squeegee when it's cooler.

Speaking of spooky (Stephen King) and electronics, I had a weird electronic experience here in Hawaii. You have to have cable to watch any TV if that means anything. One night about 2 am, I was woken by ghostly lights coming from the living room. There were very high winds that night and the TV was "on" showing bits of images and static. But actually the TV and the cable box ...were off. Crept me out something rotten for all of about 3 minutes. Then I shrugged my shoulders and went back to bed, n' snored till morning. I guess if it was a spirit trying to get my attention, the poor old thing got an F.

Lady, you are one cool chick. I mean that as a high compliment. I have to admit that the full-bodied apparition that appeared at the foot of my bed years ago got at least a B+ outta me. She was horrible (though beautiful) and her verbal threat was frightening. Pretty much came true too.

Spooky things around me tend to leave my electronics alone, other than completely draining the batteries more than once.

Hula, have you seen the movie White Noise by any chance? It had some scary parts in it to me! I see it got a bad rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I took a few kids to that movie, and it scared the crud out of them. (not young kids, more like tweeners) I thought it was a pretty good movie. Parts of it were boring. Parts of it were interesting. A couple of parts made me tense indeed.
No I haven't. If I had, I suspect a boot with my foot on the end of it would have turned the TV off for good n' all.

Wow. That does sound scary. Do you have any old family pictures? I wonder if someone was trying to warn you, or was there a history to the house? When I was a youngster, I woke up hollerin' one night, because I could hear something whizzing backward and forwards at the bottom of my bed, like it was on some sort of skates, and then it grabbed my feet and started tickling them so bad, I couldn't breathe...you know...that panic when it ceases to be funny haha, and compromises your ability to even take a breath. Then I couldn't get out of the bed sheets because it was holding me by the ankles. Not sure if my mum "saved me" that night or if she did it herself. Lol

Hearing that surprises me, because you hate coffee. Wonder what made you decide to even give it a chance!
I vaped it before I smelled it. And I also love the smell of coffee...out of the can or brewing. Taste is another story. :)

Well...I just spent 45minutes watching sinkholes...now I'll be jumping every time the house creaks tonight.
Fascinating tho.

Coffee - even tho I drink a ton of it - I sure wish it tasted as good as it smells.

Ghosties....no, I can't go there, I have them shut out of my life, they aren't welcome.

Her appearance was terrible - fierce and otherwordly. Definitely not a family member that I know of. The house was just a few years old when I bought it.

My family has a history of dabbling in such things though. Not me - ever! In fact, about 15 years ago, a neighbor I was friends with had a son about 5 yrs old at the time. He kept seeing an apparition and was scared half to death. She asked me to come over and do an amateur exorcism. The spirit my friend's son saw was one my aunts and uncles used to see at my childhood house where they also grew up - which was "haunted." It was a man in an Abe Lincoln top hat. I went room to room in prayer and cast it out. No holy water - just faith.

Your experience is nasty! I hate tickling anyway. That was just evil!

I've had experiences of being pressed down into the bed until I almost couldn't breathe. Once I learned the power of faith and prayer, those things mostly stopped. Like @classwife said, those things just aren't welcome around me!

Just the other day though, we heard white noise static coming from our TV, which was turned off at the time. o_O

Yes, verbal threat. She stared hard into my eyes for a while, which turned my blood to ice water. Then she said, "I. Am. Going. To. Destroy. Your. Family." That was all she said. She kept staring at me while she faded away.

Within a year or so, my ex had a psychotic break. Everything went downhill from there. I don't give "credit" to the apparition. But the negativity she represented did infect my family. We always have a choice and our choices are our own responsibility. In the presence of darkness, we can choose the Light. Maybe she was just the embodiment of highly negative choices that were being made at that time that I didn't realize was happening. So she was a kind of warning I guess.

And that's what I did - for days and years after, believe me! The only real "power" of such a thing is to scare us. I've experienced being pushed and had burning scratches. Ultimately though, they can't really harm. That's the Good News. ;)

Yep. The story is told about St. Teresa of Avila, who on occasions would be awakened at night by a demon next to her bed. She reportedly would roll over, look at it, say "Oh, it's just YOU," and then roll over again and go back to sleep.

David, I loved the Corgi video! Too cute. It woke Cassie up though.

You girls telling the ghost stories are spooking me. I saw a ghost once in a place I lived in. I used to hear sounds, and I thought rats were in the attic. I had the landlady send the maintenance guy to check. He found nothing. So later after that time... I got home from work, and I was exhausted. I was in my late twenties then. I was not scared to live alone, so don't think that. I was reading a book in bed. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a person wearing white. They were walking by quietly, I never heard a thing. It moved too fast, and I couldn't tell if it was a woman or a man. My gut said man, in my house! So I got my "equalizer" and went room by room looking for them. I told the person I know you are in here. Come out slowly with your hands up. Not a peep did I hear. I cleared the whole duplex, and found nobody. I then knew it had to be a ghost. That freaked me out as bad as thinking somebody was in the house, maybe worse. Just a short while after that I got married, and we moved out of my duplex into a house. I thankfully never saw that ghost again, nor heard one. Nothing like that has happened since. Believe me I was praying after that episode. Whatever it was might not like hearing the bible being read out loud either. I don't know if the bible, prayers, or my equalizer made it decide to vacate the premises.
