Last night we chain watched a program called Carnival Eats.
Some drool worthy food items at different fairs and carnivals for sure - we were drooling !

Let's see...ordered Fresh Grindz on Thursday night...I wonder if I might get it in tomorrow's mail ?

Friday I was told to be in at 8:30. I'm guessing for a meeting because I got called off instead. Go figure. Been looking at what it's going to cost to put up a fence on one side of my back yard. The fence that is there belongs to the house next door and it is falling apart. They did a fix on part of it with scraps of wood just to block the view between the house and garage. But if I'm looking for another fur friend it's not going to work. It's about 60 feet with a telephone pole toward the back so more like 55 feet. I could just use the poles they put in but they only did a few of them and if I'm going to spend the money I want it to last awhile.

We had a cold snap, now we are going to have some warm weather again. I don't acclimate well under these swinging temps.

Well I did manage to trim Cassie's hair over the weekend. Doing a Shih tzu type of cut is not so easy, especially the head. I need to do another cut to her head, but she is not being cooperative. Mostly she did good, but she hates me doing around her eyes, and that is the part that needs it the most. You can tell a rank beginner did the haircut. Maybe once she gets used to it, things will look better. Don't even think about holding her steady by the chin hair either. (they do that in the videos) Cassie just swings her head and pulls. So I have to keep that in mind when I look at the overall haircut. If the wind will die down, I will do a little more scissor work on the head. (and other areas) It has been windy here for several days. I may just wait a while. Her patience has gone down, not up.

One other thing that needs to change is the dog door. For Tussie I cut part of the free storm door I got and put a flap on for a dog door. This worked but I had to leave the door open for her to use it. That played heck with my electric bill. So after looking into it this looks like the best door for the money. Endura Flap Pet Door for Doors | Dog Doors | PetDoors With the storm door removed and this in the door The pup would be able to go out when she needed to even if I'm not home.

David, have you seen doors that only allow a pet to come in that has the electronic collar? I would be wary of one that would let any animal in, as long as they were small enough to fit through the opening.

I looked at those and I don't care for the control that has to go on the collar. Plus the only animals around hear are possums, rabbits and squirrels. I've wondered if I would find one in the house some time but it never happened. The critters tend to stay away when a dog is around. I like the way that door is made. Plus the flaps are hinged so they won't wear out so fast.

Near as I can figure it's around $25 here. I'll likely end up having to do it myself. I could do it cheap with some t-post and a roll of chain link.:D Maybe I should check with the city about the code on that first. o_O
