You can try going into the device Manager to disable the internal keyboard. That sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

To fully disable it, you'd have to open up the laptop and disconnect the ribbon cable. At that point, you'd want to have a replacement and change it out. I replaced the keyboard on my Lenovo just recently with a new one I bought on eBay. It was easy thanks to YouTube, and the keyboard was something like $40. Depending on the model of your laptop, it could be even cheaper.
I looked into replacing the keyboard when I first roached it. Had to rip everything out. It wasn't like most keyboards that you can get from the top. Even the guy at Geek Squad said it's a PITA (I have an ASUS). That's when I said screw it and got the logitech wireless. I'm going to look into disabling the keyboard. I think I'm going to have to kill the driver.

Home.
Sick.
This sucks.
Some really bad habits of my youth (and a few instances of my disregard for safety when I was younger) have structurally challenged my nose/ sinus passageway over the years. I see no use in complaining, as I pretty much did this to myself.
Now there is a wicked upper- respiratory virus making the rounds, and I've got it. When I am not struggling to breathe, I am blowing out/ coughing up large green and brown chunkers. I hurt, and sleep is getting harder to come by.
Yesterday, I called into the Main Office to talk to H.R. They have a company nurse who works Monday and Thursday, only she took yesterday off. They got ahold of her, she called me, and I was supposed to have a prescription of amoxicillin waiting for me in Wal Mart.
Drag myself through the day, go to Wally World.... no prescription.
So today I sit at home, waiting for a Doctor's Appointment later today.
Asa Career Trucker, I can honestly say if I did my job as well as some of the people I deal with, I would kill a family of four.
Yes, Hula, I have been grumpy last few days, but every woman knows there is nothing worse than a sick man. At least I don't mope and blubber- I am more the "Leave me the Hell Alone" type.

Go have a Great Day. For Me !

Not being able to breathe sucks. .. hopefully you made it to the doc for antibiotics?

Actually, Wal Mart Pharmacy sobered up enough overnight to realize that they had filled, and misplaced the prescription.
So I cancelled the Doctor's Visit and got my meds.

@Robino1 - so when is your second opinion appointment?

@Hulamoon - try rubbing arnicare cream into the area of your back where it's sore. Of course use heat and cold as well, but oddly that arnicare is pretty good for homeopathic medicine. I was surprised how helpful it can be for sore muscles. Plus, it doesn't stink! Always a plus not to smell. Lol.

Awesome! Hopefully between that and the neti pot you'll be better in no time!

The active ingredient in it is "Arnica montana 1X HPUS - 7%"

As for what it is... God only knows because surely I don't!

But, it is for

"temporarily relieves muscle pain and stiffness due to minor injuries, overexertion and falls. Reduces pain, swelling, and discoloration from bruises."

And amazingly, it's quite effective when you pull muscles and/or have spasms. I've been using it periodically for a year or two now, and it's quite helpful. I don't exactly know why though... my step son sent some to me once to try because it helped him so much, and it really does help.

Hmmm. I think a 55-gallon barrel will fill my tub.

Ever heard of a Neti Pot ?
Weird sensation, but it really works !

I've heard of it. I know several people who swear by them. I'm not brave enough to try. Hope you are better soon. And I agree about folks not caring enough to do their jobs well. I don't understand it and it makes me concerned for the future. I suppose we'll all muddle through best we can.

November 21st!

I know we are going to view the scan CDs together. That scares me a bit. Hubby looked at them and said that I don't want to look at them. At least the PET one. He can't make heads or tails of the CT ones.

I think he doesn't want me to see how big that tumor was. I do have an idea. I found the notes on the laparoscopic diagnosis and it said the size. I've also seen the picture that was taken at the time. Plus I'm sure that all that 'seeding' lit up the screen. But that was all before chemo started. I knew it was not good just by how my belly was.

Was being the key word ;)

I've used it before. It works pretty good. I've only tried one brand so far, so maybe I didn't get the best brand for it. I usually rely on Tiger Balm Ultra Strength though.

The active ingredient in it is "Arnica montana 1X HPUS - 7%"

Sometimes we don't want to know things. I was friends with the nurse at the pain clinic when I found out I had crps. The diagnosis was a second opinion diagnosis from one of the best doctors in the country. His diagnosis was quick and dirty, and he never once explained what I had, just said you have crps and walked away, setting me up for treatments at the pain clinic, ordered prescriptions etc etc . .

Well, the appointment at the pain clinic was the next morning and overnight I had decided that I would just have Susan explain to me the diagnosis. When I went to the pain clinic she walked in the room with tears in her eyes, and very gravely she said, you have crps. Because of the tears in her eyes I just nodded.. then she said so you know there is no cure right? That this is for the rest of your life... then she started crying..

Well hell if what I had was so bad to make her cry for me, then I sure as hell didn't want to know what it was! I never asked as a result, it took me 6 months to get up enough courage to actually look it up and find out more about the disease..

Hahaha. I was chicken.

But, while sometimes it's hard to find the courage to become informed, I think it's worse not knowing at all.. I think the feeling of fear that came over your hubby was same as Susan's tears for me. But in the end, it's better that WE know, and that we dig up that courage to face it, what ever it is.

In the end as you said, what he saw was before all the treatments. . Let's be positive and face a positive future. There is a fight - and you can't fight an enemy you don't know.

I've only used the arnicare brand.. it may be attributed to a different company, or perhaps just different use scenarios..

I will have to try Arnicare one of these days. The active ingredient is Arnica montana or an Arnica spp extract. What I have is much cheaper than what you use. If the pain is minor, I use White Flower Analgesic Balm. It is good if your experiencing a sinus problem too. It is cheap, so that is always a plus.
