While I weep for my nation, I feel especially bad for all those immigrants/escapees from other tyrannical lands who came here specifically because America was the land of freedom and rule of law. How shocked so many of them are now, and frightened, because -- there is no where left to flee to. :(:-x

Anyone placing an HHV order will need to be patient. There have been as many orders in a single day as they have been used to getting in a month. It’s not a big crew these days thanks to all the scares and the drop off in vaping overall.

They will be working their tails off to make sure all orders go out.

I just hope their flavor supplies hold out. Everything in the industry is crazy right now.

Yes, going back generations. J’s parents lived through the Korean War and came here in the early 70’s. They worked their way to owning a small dress shop. They’ve worked there six days a week, 50 hours for 40 years. Plus a 2 - 4 hour a day round trip commute in LA traffic. They are in their 80’s and wanted to keep the shop going for a few more years because their customers are like family. They believe that hard work keeps them healthy and strong.

They’ve been closed for a year now. It was a complete shock to them that the government could tell them they couldn’t open their store. The health regulations are too much for them and their age puts them at risk.

These are terrible times for so many of us, especially in the hands of a govt you can’t trust.

Actually, for some, especially those who came from the former Soviet bloc, there is now an option to go back home. Vaping is OK pretty much everywhere in the EU, Hungarian modders make some of the best atties (Dvarw), Poland makes great flavorings and nicotine base (Inawera, Chemnovatic), Russian Svoemesto gave us the Kayfun...

But joking aside, those of us who escaped the horrors of totalitarianism and communism and other unsavory -isms, the fear is real. We've seen it and lived it and it wasn't pretty.

Ugly situation here, and elsewhere in Vaping. Been preparing for this for about three years now.
I am reminded of how Robin01 would speak of "the Golden Age of Vaping".
Those days have gone by the wayside....

Well, at least we did get to experience it. What a ride it's been.

No government should ever be trusted. What we are experiencing now is the result of people trusting their government.

Yes. And media you can’t trust, an education system you can’t trust...and on and on.
All three. The level of ignorance still amazes me.

I’ve told this story before. A minister I knew once said (back in the 70s) that Americans would not care if communism was implemented as long as they didnt take away our boats and BMWs. Not sure what that meant but for some reason it always stuck with me all these decades later. Now it occurs to me. Go ahead and cancel whoever you want. Just don’t take away my You Tube, Facebook, and Twitter.

Thank you. It does mean a lot to her that people care. I'll let her know your message.

Heather is a strong and smart lady. I'm very hopeful that she will find a way.

And how about you, LA? Do you have anything on the horizon?

For too many:

Education has left us uninformed and incoherent.

Government has infantilized us and ignored us.

Media has kept us distracted - entertained, terrified, outraged...

Turning away from the Lord has left us worshipping material things: boats, BMWs, the earth, humans...

It’s all tragic. It all works together to make sure we don’t care enough to do anything.

There is still hope!

Thank you for asking. It might be rough for a bit. I’m working with a beauty startup, going on 4 years now, and things look promising.

One of the founders introduced me to her friend, an executive coach in NYC. Her site redesign is launching soon. She knows a lot of people.

Being self-employed always has lurking worries. But God is good. He has taught me patience and faith and strength. All will be well... even if I do struggle.

And if any of you know a business needing e-commerce, marketing, design, web skills... :)

so sorry to see hhv go. if it wasn't for adam & heather, you guys, and especially bronze recommending hhv back when, I would definitely still be smoking today.

however, guys....immigrant here....it's heartbreaking to read how you all have given up on this greatest country on earth. yes, times are rough. but be assured that this is STILL the land of the free for me. you wouldn't believe how bad covid "regulations" are in germany. police has switched to full covid enforcement, dishing out fines to people riding in cars together (not allowed) while going to work together (allowed). my mom was alone over new year's because she didn't dare to walk the 100 yards from her house to her brother's after curfew (in a town of 500 ppl she was scared - of the police randomly stopping by AND the neighbours who might rat her out). and these are just tiny examples, and another country that is "relatively free". you wouldn't believe what my Indian colleagues told me. they had military on the streets enforcing curfews!!

so, please be grateful of this republic we live in and the freedom we are still enjoying here. I would move to this country again and again in a heartbeat! Yes, times are tough, but please, please, cherish what we have here!

sorry, but I just can't take all the complaining any more. THIS IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH and let's not talk it to death, but work on creating a better place for everyone. (I know how this sounds... sorry :D) IMO this is what the general would want ;)

PS: and, having been unable to ever meet my grandma's family who was from communist east germany while growing up, please learn what communism is, before insulting TRUE victims of communism. and to anyone who ever paid a dime in taxes and drove on a public road: welcome to socialism!

gee, people, lighten up. politics has always been ugly ;)
