Cool. Might I suggest that whoever sets it up also be in charge of a master email list via PM, so invites, directions, etc. be forwarded that way? I am not looking to abandon ECF (unless I get banned for talking of other platforms), but would like a way for our group to stay in touch if this gets cancelled. Classy has said that ECF is hosted in the UK (?), so it shouldn't be going anywhere, but with the way everything is going, and the WHO wanting a global ban on open system vapes, a backup is certainly not a bad idea.
Agree. No need to set up anything just yet. But I like the idea of coming up with options in the event we have to flee. Maybe Lori can sniff around the Gab site and see what sort of options we have over there. She knows social media more than I do. Everyone does.

Well, it's there if you look for it. I mean, I've posted some things that aren't nice myself. Like I said, I go there to blow off steam because I can. The founder is a Christian man, who is a staunch supporter of free speech. Free speech isn't always nice speech. But, they do have a block button that works fairly well. I do not know if posts that are made to private groups are visible in other people's follower's feeds though. For example, I don't know if say I posted "Morning Army", if that post would also show to anyone else who follows me. And then of course if you all happened to follow me and on a bad day you come across a "(Censored) that boneheaded geriatric puppet turd!", well, that would show up in your feed and y'all might get a bit offended by it. The next two platforms below aren't like that. Each post only shows up in the server (group) it was typed into, and the only people who can see it are members.
If you wanted the group to be completely insulated, I would suggest checking out Discord. The groups are completely isolated from one another, and they can be set up to where the only way to join is through an invite. Guilded is another platform set up similar to Discord, but is primarily for gamers. I do know Discord has been known to shut down servers that speak of certain political things they don't like, but I also know from being here, this group seems to keep all that pretty tame, so if we stuck to that, we'd be ok.
