Such a sad time. I am sure this was discussed before but couldn't HHV continue by selling one shots and flavors like some other companies are doing? Of course, the name would change to HHF or like that.

It was one of the possibilities we looked at. But the PACT Act closed that loophole too. The law is written in terms of “intent.”

And if caught, it’s not FDA warning letters, but the ATF and criminal charges businesses would face.

I wonder how others are planning to do it. I watched DIYORDIE episode talking about one shots still being available.

I don't quite see how they could regulate flavorings if they didn't have anything in the name or description relating to vaping.

I wonder too. I’m thinking they will probably be catching up with those flavor shot companies soon.

For compliant e-liquid companies, all ingredients for all products are listed in the FDA database, which was required. So let’s say you set up a food flavoring or candle-making or aromatherapy company. If your inventory of flavors or aromas you offer matches your registered e-liquids, how can you argue that you don’t intend for customers to vape it? Food grade flavorings fall under FDA oversight, as far as I know, so they would be able to demand a list of ingredients in your food flavorings. Maybe not for candles though.

If an e-liquid company changed to a food flavoring or candle making company, how would their former vape customers know that’s who to go to? Word of mouth? That’s ripe for a sting operation. You could just post a “not intended to be vaped” disclaimer, but I’m not sure it would cover you if you were charged and investigated.

It seems clear that the government is not messing around with this. I think they will be seriously going after people. Just like in the days of alcohol prohibition and of the war on drugs. It’s a lot of risk.

In the meantime, the govt is making life very hard for a whole lot of people. For something that is completely unnecessary.

To me it's much worse when I watch tech companies and banks (& other industries) march in lockstep with our government. Couple that with a consent-manufacturing focused media and it's essentially a technocratic fascist state.

Here we are in an unprecedented time of mass sickness, despair, and financial depression.

Well I for one am glad our government is focused on things that really matter like preventing a legal product from being distributed to the citizenry through the national distribution asset of the USPS.

You would think that we have got bigger fish to fry and yet here they are to bully the good guys in this cottage industry into oblivion while the true demons run amok.

I don't understand why we put up with the BS we do in the United States but until we make our rulers respect us they will continue to treat us like children. If we were doing our jobs as citizens, members of Congress would be thinking "there's no way I am crossing these citizens over this nonsense, they'll shut us down for weeks!" Instead, congress knows our sedate population will (at most) take to twitter for a strongly-worded protest tweet. LOL.

Did you guys know in France (yep, the one we make fun of) the citizens are so bold that when the French Government criminalized lane filtering/lane splitting for motorcyclists, they had protests in February that shut down Paris.

We make fun of the French because of a war from the 1940's but they show way more spirit than we do today in challenging their government and we could learn from them.

I believe the govt will do what is necessary to snuff out vaping. Any loopholes that pop up they'll close. What works now wont work going forward.

I agree Lion. I am so past blaming politicians. I get mad at them but I don't blame them near as much as I blame the electorate who elects these losers. Some get re-elected until they've been in office their entire lives. WE are the ones who put them there. WE are the ones who get the blame. How many people vote in primaries? Few. I do. That's when I go to boot these pols of my own party choice because I find they are sniveling, spineless swines like all the rest. I'm in the minority.

I am upset about the vaping issue, still. I have not found batteries yet. I have another one about to go out. So I am down to two. I may have to try to use some flat top batteries instead, but they do not work well with my Reo. I will not get started talking about the interference with vaping. That would be an epic rant. I wrote many letters and so forth. It did not one bit of good. So obviously they do not give a rat's behind on what we think. Both parties work for someone other than us. They hid that in the bill, and that is the problem with huge bills. If it is written on more than two or three pages, you know it has a huge no no in it. I will stop there, as the rant mode is trying to kick in.

KK, they make these inexpensive doohickies you can put on top of a flat top that makes it a button top. I have one somewhere because I may need it for my older Provaris. If you’re interested in more info, let me know and I’ll chase it down for you. That or ask on the Provari thread. Or even ask Pops because I’m sure he’s run into the same problem. Truthfully, I would start with him and see where he sends you.

I hear you! Personally I like the solution of the many disposals of lunatic and irresponsible Roman emperors and their gangs. Let's just say the Tiber figured prominently.

She's using a Woodvil, I vape with Grands. Big difference. The Woodvil top contact is stationary, the Grand travels to the battery when you push down on the firing pin.
kkay, you are not going to find AW anymore, they are history. You could try looking for 18650 Button Top Battery by Panasonic, or Sony. Try reading here first ; Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

Actually, they still have the AW batts at same place as adapters. Can't say how long they will last but I got some a couple years ago and they are still holding a good charge:

If they are genuine AW IMR batteries, then they are probably three to four years old. Unless the factory is up and running again, that's about how long ago they were flooded out.
Or, I could be behind the times (it happens) and they are producing again.
