Evening.... This was a really long one. And the dispatcher was there when I got back so I informed him I was taking tomorrow off. He made his snarky replays which I don't care about. I'm still taking it off.;)

Scruffy is always at the window when I get home. I tap on window at him has I get the mail. Well he wasn't there. So I tapped the glass which gets him there. Still no Scruffy. I called when I came in. Still no Scruffy. Then I heard him. He must have been playing and got the door to the room with the litter box off the wedge (to keep it open) almost closed. And he wasn't able to open it again. Don't know how long he was in there. But he was happy to see me and he was hungry. Fixed it so that shouldn't happen again..:)

Yesterday I made this sourdough pizza dough. It’s enough for 4 of the 12” pizzas which means pizza Saturday and pizza Sunday! It’s been a long time since I made homemade pizza. I’m looking forward to it.

Going to see if Scruffy can learn to put up with the harness I got for him. Anyway going to get my shopping done.

Um, WHY? Do you plan on trying to take him for a walk?

Good luck with that. Some cats will do it; most just lie down immediately and force you to DRAG them (i.e., refuse the effort entirely).

No walking. Just maybe a little more around the yard. But he's doing well with me out with him. he isn't trying to run from me as much and is learning to head for the door when I want him to. He freaked a little with the leash hook flopping around. Until I opened the door to let him go out. Then he forgot about it. Still need to adjust it some and the leash is a bit short to me. But I won't be using it until he gets comfortable wearing the harness.

I had two cats who did just fine on their leashes and even learned to wait happily to be hooked in. As for cord length, just be sure he can’t jump up on a fence or anything. One of mine managed to climb a tree and then slipped off the branch. Very scary time getting him down!

TV question for @DavidOH — my friend wants to get a 70 - 75” and since you recently researched, what brand(s) do you recommend? I know you went smaller because of your room size.

If you had gotten a bigger one, was there one you liked? Any helpful info you can share would be much appreciated.

I may still get a bigger one. For me the first thing is what budget you plan to stay with. Then the other things. What type of content do you watch, do you play games, or is it streaming and movies with some sports thrown in. Will it be in a bright room or semi bright one or do you like to watch in the dark. (I always have a light on). How much does picture quality matter. Do you just want to watch TV or do you want to be immersed like going to the movies. (which covid19 has just about killed) Or do you want the simple buy it plug it in and forget it. You can watch youtube videos. But ALWAYS!! take the review with a grain of salt. Because it's your money and you have to decide what to spend it on. But I believe budget is first.. Yes I have been thinking about all of it. (for months) But how much I'm willing to spend verses the other things will determine what I end up with.

Sorry can't lock it down any better without a little more info.

Picture quality is highest on the list. Mostly movies, some video games and she likes immersive experience, dark room like a theater. She’s got the stereo receiver and speaker setup.

She was looking at Samsung that had Apple Play features. I saw that the LG CX line is well rated for picture quality — especially deep blacks. You can easily get into $3k territory, which seems crazy to me. Whatever she ends up with, I’ll get to enjoy it too, as long as we are here.

She shops Costco and wanted to just go look and buy. But I said it’s best to research, know what you want and why, then find it and compare. It’s a huge investment!

Back in Vegas I have a lovely little 34” that I am perfectly content with. :)

My main reason for asking you what you’d decided on is because I know you balance quality and value for the budget. Your viewing habits and hers are similar, other than her preference for dark room viewing. It’s all streaming and mostly HBOMax for her. Some sports.

Did you decide on a brand?

So Mamaw bought baby back ribs for supper tonight....
Several of my friends at work also have catering businesses on the side. 3-2-1. Three hours cooking at 275°F, two hours wrapped in foil at 275°F, apply barbecue sauce and 45 minutes to an hour more at 275°F.
I relayed these instructions to Mamaw, but she didn't listen.
She followed the instructions on the package, sort of....
She set them on a flat cooking sheet and covered with aluminum foil. 50 minutes later the smoke alarm is on from where there juices dripped into the bottom of her oven.
So now, on the coldest day in several weeks, I am standing next to the grill.
The longer we are together, the less she listens. And she says the same about me.

LOL - reminds me of when my mother and aunt/uncle came to town. It was Thanksgiving so I did the turkey thing, but I added yorkshire puds (it's an English thing). So I cranked up the oven to 450 after taking the turkey out to get that muffin pan oil smoking hot, then I tipped the batter in, turned the oven down to 425... next thing I know the bloody (electric) oven is on fire behind the glass. I grabbed water (brilliant, eh!) and threw it in to put it out. Success. Steam city, baby! The foil pan the turkey was in had developed a cracked seam or holes and had dripped all the bacon fat et al onto the bottom of the oven. Cleaned off the bottom of the oven, and believe it or not, I cooked my best yorkshire puds ever! Even the family commented on how grand they were - and they should know, cooking them probably once a week. So. For Lori and any other gourmands. Here's my recipe for yorkshire puddings... 1) Set oven on fire....
