Afternoon.... Sky is clearing up. Had a storm last night that made the power jump a few times. Today the thermometers showed the frig wasn't as cold as is should be. So I unplugged it, cleaned some ice from the top and made sure the openings were clear to the bottom. Plus checked that the fan was working. Not sure what fixed it but the temp is dropping again. It's a Kenmore and the manual I have has a print date of 2000 on it. I think it's time I start thinking about a new one...

I dread the thought of a new fridge. Ours is 19 years old so I think we're on borrowed time. The cost of a new fridge is through the roof.

So got the leveling blocks placed for the picnic table. I'll get it in place tonight. Then some minor stuff tomorrow morning to finish it up.

Nothing kills a fridge faster than kids who are in and out of the thing constantly. That and the ole man raiding the kitchen for a midnight snack standing in front of the fridge with the door wide open trying to figure out what he wants while 3/4 asleep.

Just checked the temps. Freezer is at -10 and the bottom is +45. It should settle at zero in the freezer and +35 in the bottom... I looked on Lowes website today. Getting a new one will cost me around $700 give or take.

Excellent job Bronze!!!

4 new benches, new fire pit, new picnic table - - - what's next?

No bar. But would be nice. Getting a grill grate for the firepit for cookouts. Will have to modify a little. Then maybe string lights.

The tree closest to the picnic table in the pic died this Spring. Started to leaf out then petered out n croaked. So it will have to come down eventually. Leaning toward the pit. That’s where I’ll drop it. Will put some logs around the pit so I don’t demolish it. Maybe in a year or two.

It’s endless. Always more to do, but it keeps us (mostly) out of trouble. You’ll need a new brace for that end of your woodpile.
