Speaking of cats.....

You haven't mentioned yours in quite a while. How is that little darling doing? Still tormenting you?

Keighley the cat? She is the biggest pest on the planet. She lost her hearing about a year ago so all she does is meow her head off. She cannot be disciplined so she goes on the kitchen counters all the time. Beating her does no good. She doesn't care. But the worst is in the morning. She sleeps peacefully right next to me all night long but when the sun comes up, she wants to be fed and fed NOW!!! She couldn't care less if I'm sleeping. She's up, I'm up. Then for her night feeding, she'll meow her head off until I feed her. And the whole way in the kitchen, she's throwing herself in my feet to get my attention. Seriously, the only time I like this cat is when she's sleeping.

Awwww she loves you!

Now why did you delete that Pappy? Regardless, I liked what you said as it is very true. Just make sure that its the relationship that's the problem and not because someone elses grass just seeeeems greener. :)

I wanted to read it too. I love Pappy's advice! I need all the help I can get and I love to grow and learn. So what'd it say Hula? :D

My ... got on the treadmill this evening. I will be doing that daily. It kicked my ....! Well the hand weights helped kick it too.

I gotta go make a coil and fill 'er up. It seems I'm making one daily. I could clean and dry burn...but why do that when I can make one in the same amount of time. But it does get old.

Ed and April you have my thoughts..life is too short to be unhappy.

MP here is a little advice from and old lady that has been happily married for 33 years in September and raised three pretty awesome children. Friendship...the core of a good marriage is a strong friendship. Life is full of bumps along the way and if you 'like' each other well enough to work together you will get over the bumps. Can you laugh at each other? Sometimes in this crazy world you need laughter. I can seriously say for me when I have a question that I'm afraid to ask anyone else in fear they might think I'm stupid..my hubby is who I ask. If any married couple tells you they never argue or disagree I wouldn't believe them...but when you think enough about your partner to do it with respect and a willingness to give and take you'll work things out. It's easy to love and lust...it takes a lot of work to build a lifetime friendship.

Very well said, IG.. We too have had our share of bumps, but we celebrated our 18th anniversary early this year, and I'm still glad we chose each other.. Crater size pot holes and all..:) Respect is a big issue. Also, we never say anything (name calling etc.) in anger, those words can't be taken back. Apologies can be made but they still hurt long after that.

Good luck PicC. I think you know she's the one, since you already got the ring. I'm sure you got more advice than you bargained for here!

RJ I've got a treadmill waiting for me at my sister's house..just need to plan time to get it picked up. I need it to kick my .... I've got to get back on the weight loss track. Things are slowing down at work which will help...when we're crazy busy there is too much fast food and late night dinners. We finally had a cold front move through with a little rain. We could use more rain but it's so nice to step outside and not be hit with 90+ temps with 80-90% humidity. Our big family camping is this weekend and the weather is suppose to be perfect..very excited.

Yes she does and I'll never know why. My wife gets the cats and they all hang on me. And she's the one who loves on them. But I admit, I like Whiskey the cat. He's Alexis' cat and he comes over here all the time. He's kind of a cool dude. He comes inside until Keighley spots him and he takes off. Keighley is a six pound female. Whiskey is a 16 pound male and lets Keighley push him around. :)

And anyone who says cats are not as smart as dogs has never had a cat. They're always scheming.

IA, how is it that things slow down at work in your line of work? You're at the opposite end of where April is. At least (as she explained to me) they can induce, delay, and schedule c-sections. But your end????

But that's what's so cool about our little family. We are like family in that we won't blow smoke just to make you happy. If you ask for an opinion, you will get several. We all have our own way of looking at things. None are wrong or right. It is our perception and our experiences that we are using as a base.

My body is changing with perimenopause. Just too much for me. I gotta combat it. I've always been active and fit...but getting older has really changed me and I don't like it one bit.

So I just cleaned and dry burned instead of making another coil. :vapor: Just didn't feel like doing it. It still hits like a train.

Well... Spring is always busy for us with Memorial Day..that's big around here and people that have lost loved ones want a memorial in place by then. In June we have our annual sale. A very large percentage of our work is now what we call 'pre need' and those customers purchase during the sale (which always overflows throughout July because hubby and I are too easy). The sale basically builds our work load for the balance of the year...then it starts all over again:laugh: Winters are pretty quiet as with our weather we don't do our foundation work once frost is in the ground as our foundations go below frost line. Probably way more than you wanted to know....

Just a repost....giggle. Cats rule and dogs drool!

Look what MP started. :)

Actually, I interpreted what he said differently than others (goes to your perception thing). I read it as he was just getting nervous over a big event. Everyone gets butterflies over big events...good or bad. But then others interpreted it as if he was having doubts.

I'm still not sure which one it was but I think we surrounded it. :)

I've never been disappointed that I was born a dude. All that extra plumbing y'all have is nothing but pain.
