She lives alone, recently moved here (not close enough at all) when my very beloved great uncle passed away, and she absolutely fell in love with him, asked for him outright. Still miss him desperately, but it was the right thing to do. Penny (Penelope when she's bad, such as with this new joy she's taking barking out on the deck during the wee hours of the morning for no reason, whatsoever) and Fitzy (Fitzgerald when he's bad, which means never since he was a puppy) bring me so much joy that I shouldn't complain. I can't wait for Dusty's pics of Bella!!Counting down those 8 days with Bridget, too! And I honestly love hearing you and the (again edifying) Lion talking about life around big snakes and such (and I don't mean either of your sons, gutter Lion
). I'm such a city mouse, and it's a lot of fun to hear about these things with which I have no experience.Thanks guys...I'm so excited all packed up and waiting on a phone call. Daughter was going to see if the doctor wanted to see her in the office first or head to the hospital...either way this little one is ready to meet the world soon.....I love being a grandma
To echo the general, from that thrill that you take in your grandkids, I am sure that you are just as loved and cherished by them! That comment about all the pink made me chuckle. That happened to one of my mom's friends (very long ago)

Milan Kundera is one of my favorite writers of all time, and I've read much about the city through his beautiful prose.Aah! What a wonderful birthday I am having!!! Spent the morning by the pool... cesspool that is, fixing the motor that stirs it.
But don't feel sorry for me, because right after that, I spent some quality time at the Champagne House... fixing their bottling line.
But alas! I finally made it to the local micro brewery to sit outside and enjoy repairing their well pump... in a thunderstorm.
That's just too much fun for one birthday.But seriously, it's been a good day. Think I'll head over to the Princess' house and cook her a delicious birthday dinner.

Then there was King Diesel in all his cuteness. Seriously stresses response times.
Playing nicely while I cruise ECF. This is Lena, my youngest granddaughter.
To hot for clothes out here, when we go back inside I will be putting her pajamas on her.
