...so maybe we can go this year. ;) Cause when we go.....we go BIG!

Sounds like your vacation philosophy is the same as mine. I love bargains, but when I'm on vacation I don't worry about cost. Vacations are rare for me, so I'm not gonna let money stand between me and having a good time.

Good morning Army.

Checking in again. The latest visit with the liver specialist reveals that there is an invasive cancer of the liver. A transplant cannot be performed due to the nature of the cancer and the likelyhood of cells already spreading into my body, though not detectable. There will be a chemo pill I can take but it will likely only extend my life 4 months over a guesstimate of 6 months survivability. The cancer will not be what does me in but a complete failure of the liver. I am already in an advanced stage of cirrhosis and the liver is failing. I don't know how often I will be visiting the forum but I appreciate all of your support. I have not given up hope that something could change, however.

If you desire more contact info then PM me.

Diesel is something else learning his name, sit, and come in one day, Slim! Love your hi-tech solution to less guilt in your day:2cool:.
Sure hope you and your son get out to Panama City Beach this year, RJ!
I'm %100 with Chimps in awaiting a few vicarious thrills from Dusty and Bridget's Mexican vacations:).
Hey, Pappy, can I join your We Suck Because We Don't Do Facebook Club? I'm yet to join, but remain on the fence about it.
I continue to thoroughly enjoy watching you talk to yourself, Chak:laugh:!

Wonderful Wednesday vapes to all:vapor:!

ETA - Oh, 73, I have no words. So many prayers and wishes are headed your way; and I am thankful that your RW support system and faith are so strong. Please keep hoping and fighting with everything you have. If you don't mind, I will talk with the friend of the family that I told you about who had a remarkable reprieve from late-stage cirrhosis and PM you once he reminds me of some details of his story. You are in all of our hearts.

73 always thinking of you and sending prayers your way. I'm still pretty tired today, being so busy at work it will probably take the majority of the week for me to get caught up, but it's a good tired. One good thing about being so busy at work is the days pass quickly and it pays the bills. Everyone have a great day...

I haven't been to a beach in seven years...and my last full-blown vacation to Gatlinburg was in 2010. So yeah they are rare for me too and I WILL go big. ;) We love staycations as well though. I did get my substantial raise today :)shock:) so maybe a vacation will be in the cards for us. :toast:

I've been sitting here for a while trying to find some words and only coming to the conclusion that words at this point will only be to comfort me. My heart is heavy at the thought of losing you, yet glad at the same time that you have such a great faith in The Lord.

I'm at a complete loss for words. I do have one request should anything happen to you, and I do pray that God won't take you anytime soon, will your family please let us know? April said it best, I also pray for peace and love to surround you.

Your humor and presence on this thread are an asset to us. Thank you for keeping us up to date on what you are fighting in your life.

Whoa, went to bed at 9 PM, that's a new one for me. Woke up at 11:10 with indigestion....... urp!!! Feeling better now.
Back to bed.
Now I know what Bronze meant when he said it seemed like you go to bed 5 times a night. ;)

Sleep well, prop your upper body up (but don't fall out of bed again).
