Hey guys,

Long time lurker, new member ,

Quick question,

Im a bit paranoid. I just purchased a new Atlantis .5 ohm coil and dripped a few drops of eliquid on the coil, let it soak a while but obviously not long enough, because when I cranked my vip mini up to 30 watts I had a bit of a burned hit.

My question is, should i immediately dispose of this coil and try another? After letting the coil soak longer, I no longer have a burned taste. Should I assume the cotton is still burned, even though I can't taste it? I am afraid of the carcinogenic effects of inhaling burned cotton.

Or am I fine with this coil still?

Thanks!

If your not tasting any burnt taste, I think your fine. If your using the v2 coils you won't have to worry about burnt ceramic or anything like that. I always start my Atlantis off low and work my way up for the same reason you experienced.

Same thing happened to me, I turned it down, left it alone to prime and it lasted me 2 weeks.
