Wait...An Allen key for what exactly? Are you referring to in case the juice control gets locked up, because it doesn't come with one for that...I assumed it was for the screws to trap wire, but those are flat head it appears

I don't know but before I made my purchase I saw Todds review of it and his had an Allen key in the spare o ring bag. Both of mine just had the spare orings and the set of spare post screws. I didn't need it to get it built yesterday so all is good but I still sent an email to Vassili asking about it.

I just re-checked and I do indeed have one LOL - I must have been thinking about the Rose 3 not coming with one :)
I had that problem with the Rose 3 also as did many others! Must admit I would prefer flat heads for this one..

Just email them and send 3 euro and you will be the new grub screws and a full set of O-rings posted. Small price for the spares I reckon. I did the same, so hopefully they arrive tomorrow :)

They already sent me orings with me replacement tank. Bit odd they didnt stick in some post screws...I'll live with the hex screws for the moment!

I think it was a further upgrade as some people were having the hex screws cut in their wire, from memory this decision only was publicised a day or 2 after your replacement gear was sent out.

ok. Not sure why hex vs flathead should change anything as the problem is at the other end surely?!?! Anyway, mine seems to be ok but only tried 26g so far..

I am guessing it is at the other end. I think the flat head is just incidental - I think a flat head will wear better over time. I haven't had any issues with my hex screws using 27 and 28 gauge.

I used 27ga in my initial build and didn't seem to have any issues with trapping the leads or the wire being cut...Maybe the opposite end of the new grub screws have been slightly altered?!?

i guess that might be it. Muxt admit, I hate these kinds of decks for this very reason. My toot had the same problem.

How's it vaping buddy?

This is exactly why the screws were changed it was for the base. You have the new ones. I still have the old ones and haven't had a problem yet, but after the pain of the Rose 3 I have been very careful (the Rose issue was with the propensity for the hex to round easily) although this is a different issue I was still overly careful due to it being a hex.

mine did come with an allen key! lol!
The ones that came with the allen key are the the ones shipped out in the first batch with the old style grub screws. The screws I got are the upgraded 316screws from second batch. That's why it wasn't needed anymore according to Vassili's email reply.

The only issue I'm having with mine is that the driptips are too small bore and I didn't have any stumpy-short wide bore that looks good with it. But I found and ordered the squip driptips from intaste.de that I think will look flush and it's wide bore.

ooooh - I have held fire for this run, but I am super keen to hear your thoughts on it. I love my Cane 1.3 LE !

I have a 1.3 LE as well, V2 top fill mechanism is well designed. Super easy to build just like 1.3 or JR. For flavor, it is much more rich compare with 1.3, I think the flavor is closer to a dripper taste. And one great improvement is, it comes with much more accessories than before:

It has two juice control ring, one is the same as 1.3 and one is the same as JR. Also a top fill tank (heavier as much parts) and a bottom fill tank (which is same as JR tank)
