I am considering the Hobo. How does this compare to the Magma when it comes to flavor? The Magma is my number one and I have tried many of the so-called best flavor RDA's (Veritas, Plume Veil, etc.). The Magma has just been the best for me out of those. I would like something that is on par with the Magma when it comes to flavor and juice capcity, but with more air flow options. How does the Hobo compare? What is the air draw like compared to the plume veil? It looks to be a little similar and I like the draw of the plume veil.

I have a magma, clone though, i think the hobo is on par with everything you seek. But then again i just pretty much love them, i own 3 so i could be biased lol. Holds a lot of cotton and juice, and i love the draw wide open, or with the top ring closed off. I have them on a regulated box right now and the flavor is nice and warm. I think you'd be happy.

It's a little more open than the plume veil, but with the top airflow wide open..those cause the same effect as the plume veil's negative airflow, instead of directly cooling coils.

No airflow control directly at coils...but that's a plus for me.. full blast..always...so this means it can't handle the heat like a plume veil, unless you dremmel it out.

Ok chaps sorry but just one more question about the hobo- can someone give me the measurement from the bottom of the engraved H to the bottom of the dripper?

I know this sounds like an odd question but I just want to know how much of the hobo will be covered if I use the slanting top cap from my chi you megan on it. It's not a big deal as I can also use the flat top cap but I just want to know my options before I buy. In the pic the ruler is slighly slanted but straight its 6mm deep.

I asked this question in a previous thread when buying the stillare v3 but found it looked better with the flat top cap when I got it but after building I found it too airy for my liking hence im looking at the hobo.

As for the bearded clown I gotta stick up for the guy. I find him quite entertaining and pretty informative. He tends to dive right in and tell you about the product hes reviewing rather than talking about himself for 5 mins before getting into the review like some do. There's no long pauses and his vids seem to be edited to keep short and to the point while most others don't. Having said all that I do still consider myself a novice in this field so may change my mind in the future ;)

I have 1 magma that's authentic and 1 clone that I used exclusively for a long, long time. No difference between the two (at least for my clone). Then I got the Hobo v2 when it launched. You get basically the same flavor but a lot more clouds. The magma I notice worked better with shorter wicks (less cotton) and coils closer the vent hole, so it had a greater potential for leaking especially since it holds so much juice. It was great for super sub-ohming because it had no insulator near the heat. It just wasn't a big cloud machine even with .08-.1 builds - which weren't the safest so I found something that could balance flavor and clouds in the Hobo v2.

Good luck finding one now that the word is out. I got mine at VaporDNA and they were out of stock yesterday. I wish I had bought another instead of a 3rd PlumeVeil. My coil build on only Hobo is too low for the IPV3 to fire, so I have it on my new brass Praxis v2. Together they're probably the smallest 18650 mod + RBA combo out there. Fantastic combo for travel, sneaking a vape in movie theatre, etc., or for falling asleep vaping in bed at night (because of the Praxis design).

If you guys are talking small, you should see my copper smpl mod with hobo and shorty drip tip. All set up its smaller than my copper Manhattan by itself lol i hate tall mods with a passion! Theres no need for a 6 inch mod, and that's without an rda or tip attached. Wish i had it on me id take a pic, brought the ipv2s out today.

Thanks for input. I ordered one last night. Found a shop (TheVaporOutlet) on ebay that had two left.

I am very happy with the quality and fit/finish. Great flavor atty with a deep well. I do have one issue though. There is a small scratch on the sleeve. Would you mind PMing me Hoberto's email addy?

Received my top today from Hoberto.

Wow! Talk about CS! This guy has it. Not only did he send me an unblemished top but he also included extra grub screws, an allen key screwdriver and a drip tip. I was quite impressed and very pleased.

Nooooo! I just got my package back from him, im literally jealous of that screw driver. Man that must make a world of difference. Thumbs up man! Hoberto is unrivaled when it comes to customer service. I dont care what anyone says i am a customer for life.

Yeah man. That allen key screw driver makes a world of difference. Not too worried about breaking that sucker. I love it.

Agreed. I am a customer of his for life as well. It's an awesome RDA with some of the best CS to back it up as well.

I personally think him and his customer service make the Hobo atty that much better. I cant wait to see what he does next. I heard its a box mod, not sure what the details are but theres that. But if its small and regulated i might jump on it.

I was wondering what his next project will be as well.

Doesn't look like he's got a FB page. If you hear of anything, please let me know.

Will do brother, if you have an Instagram page he's pretty active on there. It may sound silly to some but i only started a page to follow vape related companies. You'd be surprised how much you find out that way, between that and facebook. I got tired of everyone getting the down low and i was last to find out.
