It works differently than other mods for TC, there is no TCR or TFR to change but instead they use the FSK to adjust all that. For the preset SS, Ni and Ti there values are fixed and work really well. For all other metals you adjust the FSK % to suit the vape you are looking for, all of this is done on the mod.

If you want to know if 450F is really that then the dna is what you want. The Hohm mods require the user to adjust for metals other than SS, Ni and Ti but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature.

I have a couple dna mods and am planning on buying the Think Vape Finder DNA167 soon. I really do like my DNA mods but there are some limitations which the FSK chip fills in those gaps. I am not the type of person who needs to know the accuracy of everything I do, if it works then I just like to keep it simple. I am pretty aware when vaping if it is too hot, I just simply turn down my FSK %, if it is too cold or not firing much then turn it up, it is really that simple and works on any wire.
Ehh, I've tried something like that before and didn't like it. Basically a TCR setting, by a different name and a different way of dialing it in. Personally the mods like that I've tried I haven't liked & I think it's bc there's much more to TC than a single setting.

I need the TFR map of electrical resistivity across the whole range so I can just upload it to device and not ever have to mess w/ it again.

Say what you will about the DNA board, (and yes the stock TFR settings for wire types are wrong) but once you get it set up with steam engine & escribe, well so far it's the only acceptable tc board I've tried. Ofc there are probably others and I'd like to get one as a travel mod.

Damn they havent shipped my ipv8 should i cancel it? You guys didnt get ur hands on solo mini 80w ss tc? Thats sucks that does any wire dry hit taste control. No temp limits vape as cool or hot as you like and it detects when there isnt enough liquid and shuts off. Can ur fsk chip do that? Tbh i hate kanthal even use ss316l on my mech... dunno why i ordered this yankee crap to begin with well im fully refunded so they can shove it. Carlos salinas deGortari was president of mexico 1986-1992 his late uncle is my godfather, now you get it? Yes i can have them gone.

Somehow i got my relaux dna200, i bough from indus vape for $55 canadian flat, to charge at 2a. I can't find the thing to modify charge anymore! I wanted to put a max of 4a just for future. As far as i see it dry hit protect and all the voltmeter and charge multimeter are gone on dna75 chip although it is faster. Not needing 250w as ive never went that high on my rx200 &rx200s. Dunno what other changes they made but when u fife the thing u can hear the chip working... no wonder smy gets chip from evolv for ~25$. So far both my dna products are under warranty and is a big gth to evolv as the products manufacture etc costed more than what i paid for Sdna75 or rx dna200. Which they repainted old stock and will try to sell as new 'bronze' version thinking it will work like with the rx200 color joke. Umm vt167 for $99 and % 20 off on jan28. .. dont even think its worth it with v1.2 sp5a there is preheat and that bs... tbh i prefer evolv dna200 charger than i4. The Sdna75. .. meh once its full it starts to discharge... i was surprised when a 2mm id dc ss317l needed 2 secs to reach temp at 75w so its definately a budget vape. Feel sorry for all you that paid over 34.5$ for it...(add a -$10 store credit). Ive dropped the Sdna75 countless times now once trying to open tornado rdta while holding this one in other hand caused it to fly across the room 7m minimum.. battery came out obviously but just paint ruined in a tiny part in the back part of the sled to close it. Sure cheap paint and thin ceramic layer but they did a great job creating a 'beater' mod.

Dna does tc everything but kanthal. Yihi might do tc kanthal soon but lets be honest. Ive only used kanthal for rebuilding coutank coils, now im with a herb vape tried countless months before release and old titan 2 kept me happier.. lame. So i have no need for the kanthal i bought years ago, since i went from istick 20w to evic vt it was nickel or titanium only, then ss came out, now just 316l mostly some 317l. We all know that copyright thing evolv did with escibe will give u most accurate tc specially with Sdna75 cvs. They did clone dna40 1:1 (kudos kangxkin) pretty fast so evolv worked on doing the escribe... too bad they dont know u just contact a hackef in mexico city anf he will crack it and make it conpatible with all devices. I mean they crack EVERYTHING. This cant be harder than windows lol.

In the end this was a small company tl begin with they fail and ib tjeor own video they do not conform kanthal tc it is most likely just a guesstimate. Evolv is a way bigger company and they focus on chips not on tje rest. What really turns me off from any F....K chip is that ridiculously high 3.3 cutoff.. my cells cutt off at 2.66... cells are rated to 2.5v i want all the power they provide

Supposedly the new provari 60w chip can do it w/ kanthal, but I use SS 430 in power & TC, the features on the dna75 is all Ill ever need, tbh if dna40 had escribe that'd be enough for me, (and I'd of probably kept my billet boxes... both times) .... But really idc about kanthal, besides it doesn't taste very clean after you get used to SS.

mjag, do you know what fsk % I should start with for Nife52?

Thanks right now im trying some 24G 316L but my favorite wire so far is definitely Nife52.
Really I don't know off hand were Nife52 would fall. If it was me I would put the mod in xXx mode, start FSK at 3% and try it there. If it doesn't fire then put up fsk to 4%, small increments until you find your setting. Doubtful that low it will fire hot but hit the fire button and listen first before taking a hit.

Do you happen to know what tcr value Nife52 is? On the graph I posted a few posts back you can get a general idea if the tcr is close to one if the listed metals for the xxx mode.

Different strokes for different folks. I have both boards along with a bunch others and would not fault someone for what they like.
The DNA is a fine board and it is a great tool to fine tune TC. I can personally get as good a TC vape with my Hohmtech mods but to each there own. I am more than happy to own both DNA and FSK chipped mods, I am not prone to limiting myself.

All this comes down to being happy with your setup so you stay off the cancer sticks. Makes no difference to me what board is used, just sharing my experiences to help others.

Is it just me or is this guy a little....off? Reminds me of the local kids trying to be big and bad and only coming off....well childish.

Anyway, the dna is s fine board. And if escribe is what does it for you, I'm all for it. I love my g2 though, by far the best mod i currently own.

mjag, do you know what fsk % I should start with for Nife52?

Thanks right now im trying some 24G 316L but my favorite wire so far is definitely Nife52.

I got some more info for you, this I got from @ShowerHead who I just found out is in this forum as well when the tag came up....hope it is the same guy....lol.

This is from Hohmtech.

"We've make all EPT system numbers like old school TCR. Just put in TCR values for your metal of choice. If TCR is 0.0000500 (or shortened to 500), this would be = to 50.0% in EPT system (FSK Temp Curve)."

This from Steam Engine:

TCR in vaping range
4036 ×10-6

If the CW NiFe52 is the same as the one on SE, then the value for the FSK Curve should be 40.3

It's what I'll try, as the wire vapes great on my DNA using the SE curve.

Well, with this FSK value, I get just the vape I expected.
I can't tell a difference in the vape (amount, warmth, taste) between the G2, VT133, and Lavabox M.
I've used the same two tanks and flavors between the three mods.

The only thing I forgot to ask was if that was in xXx mode which sounds really high for me but then again I don't have any experience with Nife52. I would ask again but we are headed out the door, I can ask tomorrow. Definitely start low and work your way up. Please let me know how it worked out.

Thanks man youve been so helpful. I held off on building Nife52 coils earlier today cause I wasnt sure about the xxx mode until your most recent posts... thanks for asking around and doing research for me. Sounds pretty easy and giving me an accurate starting point on the fsk % should make my life even easier.

Built a dual coil 316L 24G 8 wraps 3mm 0.2 ohm coil setup instead today. Figured I might as well I bought the wire from fast tech a year ago and it wasnt even opened! Also got some 22G 430 SS wire on deck for tommorrow as well. The Nife52 build will be the first on my agenda though got it in 25G and it is a wonderful flavor chasing wire!

I havent been this excited about vaping in a really long time! Have to refresh my memory on what temps and wattages are best for 316L, 430 and Nife52. Been awhile since I tried to TC vape. If im not mistaken you can adjust the wattage and temp individually while in TC mode.

Definitely, just my personal preference. Like I said I'm not bashing, I've not even tried it, I was asking about this mod bc I'm looking for a beater and I'd been told this one has the ability to input a TFR range. TCR setting/adjustments probably works well enough for most people but my experience w/ it was inconsistent, hence me looking for a mod that I can just input the entire range of electrical resistivity.

I may be stuck with DNA for that but id figured by now there'd be other boards that did it. (plus I was told this was one of them) not even a dna fanboy, or even think their chips are designed well, really... if there is a board that does tc better I'll gladly try it... The menu system is clumsy, I've had inductors fall off 4 times on 4 boards, and like I said the default/factory material/wire type settings on all my DNA boards were wrong and I had to delete and replace them before tc will work properly.

Is it just me or is this guy a little....off? Reminds me of the local kids trying to be big and bad and only coming off....well childish.

I am just trying to help out as it works different than other mods I have, trying to pass on the knowledge I have learned from others. If I didn't get that help I would not have liked the mod, it is difficult to learn on it's own. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and if you have any other questions I would be happy to help. I am getting really busy with work and the holidays though so please be patient if it takes me awhile to respond.
