It is new ground as no reviewer has ever even bothered with baseline efficiency rating across different mods & manufacturers. It is possible that different build resistances would place vastly different loads on the chip.

Interesting though.
however on a side note I'm very well versed in UPS systems. a lot of them use AC-DC-AC convertors and i have some friends that are UPS technicians. I've worked on a few myself as well a few years back. So i'm still gonna do some research and talk to a few of them.

I also on top of my oscilloscope have access to amprobe DM-3 multi test meters through my job. I used them to help size my solar system on my house i know those things like the back of my hand lol. plus with the oscilloscope and a multimeter i should have more then enough testing equipment

So in short my current plan is

take apart the mod. hook the oscilloscope and DM3 to the input and output of the mod. testing range will be in a 10-50 amp draw
oscilloscope records voltage, DM3 records amperage. Use the volt and amp recordings to calculate wattage (ohms law calculator) divide power out by power in and bam. record readings at 10, 20, and 30 amps output (since most mods cut off over 35 amps for dual mods) report all 3, the high the low and the average.

anyone see any issue in this procedure?

Heart still beating. 4 slice still vaping well. Trying out the Tanks I bought during the VaporWorld fire sale they ran.

Had trouble TC-ing the Twisted Kanthal coils that came with the 1/2 dz Serpent Tanks I bought. Spent a lot of time in xxx mode ajusting the FSK & Ended up having to coil them with 316L. On the plus side, got pretty good at coiling them & finally used the ss mode on Slice. On point & very accurate.

That's a good sign Tpat.

I have so much Kanthal, and now NiCr, that I will prolly stay with those 2 wires forever, likely. I've been using K mode a lot more than xXx mode, but just so I stay in practice, when I put a new coil in I set it for both. Side note; I can't tell any taste difference comparing Kanthal A-1 to NiCr unlike some, which is a good thing I guess. Right now I've got a new, Black, Digiflavor Siren 25mm on my Black Slice SE in Kanthal mode and like it so far. I just ordered a SXK Corolla 1.5 (from FT, so I guess I'll get it by snows end this year, I hope) to put on my G2, it's supposed to be a Great MTL tank.

The only TC wire I have ever tasted on occasion has been Ni200. Think Ti is most reliable and cleanest wire.

Yeah, I almost bought some SS wire, a couple of times but figured that I have so much Kanthal why buy more just to TC with, plus I was told that TC was a smoother vape and I didn't want it to be smooth. I smoked cigars for years and got used to that raggedness and harsher TH (I inhaled every draw), and liked it. BTW, I didn't stop smoking because I wanted to quit, it just got too Damn expensive for me. In my 52 years of tobacco use I saw the price go from $ .21 a pack of Cigarettes ($ 2.10 a carton) up to $ 7.50 a pack and $ 75.00 a carton. That's the real reason I came to vaping.

I have some family in NYC and there the price per pack is between $12-$14. I quit stinkies when the price in North Carolina was $4.50 a pack, three years ago.

If they are smokers I sure hope you get them into vaping here soon. That's $122 to $144 a carton of Cigarettes, and $4,380 to $5,110 per year at 1 pack per day, Wow'ee Zow'ee. Gotta be some kind of Rich $$$ to live in that city, for sure. About 3 years ago Minnesota instituted their 100% tax on tobacco products, which was, (the way all us smokers looked at it at the time) a Morality Tax. Damn bunch of Do-Good'ers. Anyway, "Vaping is the Solution, and the Solution is Now", to coin a phrase that someone once said.;)

Here, Here on the Slice :thumb::thumbs::). You'll be very happy with the FSK chip that's in it, one of the top Two chips on the market today.
Yeah I already have the g2. Figured it was time to buy a 26650 mod.

I've heard that the Ijoy 26650 battery is the best 26650 battery we can get at this time, a little expensive though. I run the Basen Black and MNKE 26650's myself, and find them pretty good. The Basen Black and the MNKE 26650's will last me longer than any 18650 battery I have tried.

I can't find either the ijoy or hohm 26650 batteries.

Sent from somewhere in Vietnam.
