I just made my first syringe tank and it's been working great, vaping a 60/40 VG/PG juice. I used a saddle valve to punch a boge 3.0 ohm carto. I turned it until I heard the "pop", then turned the handle 360 degrees to finish the hole and it's been vaping very well. Put about 6 drops in the top before filling the tank.

EDIT: Made a second tank with the same sized hole but using 30/70 VG/PG juice and it's vaping just as well.

I would use those tanks. I just wouldn't buy from that vendor. The sliding can be fixed with thicker o-rings. I hope to find these cheaper some day. I don't want to spend too much money on a tank now, because I'm spending too much lately on liquids trying to find a flavor I like. Im getting some real bad tasting liquids lately.

For the fill hole, I also picked up a pack of the earring clips that Jewelz posted about from Michaels and use the rubber cushions...they work very well. I use a dremel with a 1/8" drill bit to cut the initial hole and it comes out very clean. I use the high RPM setting and just touch it to the syringe piece and gently press it into the syringe. Within a few seconds, it's through. I then use a small cone shaped stone grinder to gently widen the hole to about 9/64". A few burs sometimes but they come off very easily and the hole is very smooth. It's still a pretty tight hole for the cushions, but I found that placing them initially on the hole, then using the thumb to push and twist gets them in.

3 for 20.00 with a bag of o-rings. Today my DIY tank going to work with me a true test!! And for the liquid 200.00 in the last month and my tank is filled with a DIY menthol. So I'm with you on that I have been tweaking most of the stuff I have been buying. I have been using gp juice the most without tweaking and it's like 5 dollars a 30ml go figure.

Here's a tip for folks who don't wanna be bothered with using a saddle valve.

I think I can punch a carto with a small finishing nail a lot quicker than with a saddle valve and just figured out yesterday that if I punch the carto through the condom I don't have to worry about the nail sliding around. Don't have to measure any more either, as if I just make sure the condom's on all the way and punch the carto about 1/16" from the end of the condom I can pretty much eyeball where the hole should go.

I received an order of Smoktek 2.0 dual coils in today and have two tanks running on them (both with one hole). In one tank, I'm using 30/70 VG/PG and it wicks just fine. I can see a bubble come out of the hole every time I vape, and it crackles beautifully. In the other I'm using a 60/40 VG/PG juice and I don't get near as much crackle after using it a bit, and rarely see a bubble come out. I'm guessing with the extra VG, I may need another hole. Has anyone tried dual coils with a VG heavy juice, and if so, did you find you needed another hole? The same 60/40 liquid in a boge 3.0 with one hole is doing just fine, even though I don't see a bubble come out everytime I vape.

Maybe it was the talk of condoms? Way back in the thread I had a post where I mentioned .... plugs about 10 times. Talk about trashy!

I thought I'd post about these bottles I found. Since my fill hole is small I decided to get some luer capped bottles. There may be better deals out there, but I wanted at least 2 oz bottles without a needle attached so I could add my own gauge needle. These are what I found: Approved Vendor 5FVF1 Bottle, Disposable, w/Cap, 2 oz., Pk 5 free shipping, woot!

I had some 18 gauge needles that I got from the Tractor Supply store, so I took my handy new dremel and cut the sharp part off of the needles, so now I've got some nifty needle cap bottles that hold 60+ mls for squirting directly into my tanks.
