He never boiled them. I was the one who suggested that as a last alternative.
I had heard that would help. I have never boiled them either. I have not had any rubber taste with the one I made.
The boiling was suggested to me back when I was making something else that involved a piece of rubber.

The syringes should be okay as long as they are the sturdy rubber pusher. I got some on ebay, 50 for $15, free shipping. The brand is GPS, Global Pharmaceutical Solutions. They are exactly like the ones in the video, but the cyclone tanks seem to have an extra ridge around. Here's the link to where I got mine. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I have been using these tanks for months. They are being sold at Home | Go-goUSA.com for $14.99. Dummy me, if I knew what they were made out of I could have been making them all this time. In about 4 months of using these, I have never had juice leak. Amazing, they aren't the prettiest but they sure are the easiest and cheapest. Now, I want to buy some syringes to make my own. There are so many brands. Is ideal industries the ones I should be using? What about BD?
Thanks for any help.

I want to know where to get those little stoppers on the side of the chopper cyclone tanks. K*Rose, could you measure those stoppers and take a good picture of them for us, not in the tank?

Anyone want to do some research on those?

I actually boiled the rubber pieces for a couple min and the tubes also before I installed. No luck. Nasty rubber taste after a couple hours.

Sorry, not trying to start an argument... He says he used Ideal 20ml syringes, which is exactly what the guy in the video linked in the YouTube description. Just trying to figure out what the problem might be, and that seems to be the only divergence.

Yes, they are the ones. Sorry, I just linked to the website home.

Where is everyone getting the syringes from?
my4jewels' deal sounds like a better one if they're readily available, but I ordered mine here:
Animal Health Express
These are the exact ones listed in the YouTube video's description. $0.55 each. They charged a flat $4.99 handling fee, but otherwise "free shipping". They claimed 9-14 days, but sent mine out first thing Monday morning when I ordered on Sunday. Apparently UPS has a slower option than I was aware of, though, because it says expected arrival on Friday. Never thought I'd catch myself saying, "they should have just used the postal service instead of UPS." :)

When you get them, let me know if they have 2 or 3 ridges in the plunger. The pic for the ones I ordered showed 3 ridges, but the ones I got have only 2. I also got 1(3 ridges)(all they had left from one TSC, and 1(2 ridges) from another TSC to complete the tank mod. They were both Ideal brand, but they were both different.

That Chopper's Cyclone Tank looks like it might actually be this exact tank. You can even see the slight imperfection in the top cap where it looks like it was punched out.

Is it possible that the stopper is actually the other half of the rubber plunger? That's kinda what it looks like... the "donut hole". :)

I don't know if its the syringes I'm using or the fact that I'm using a ce2 carto to punch the holes but my boge carto is a really tight fit I couldn't slide it down to fill it if I wanted to. I could barely get it on there I had to use a flat head to get it into the syringe tube with the carto on

pretty sure anything in the side of the cylinder would leak. What's wrong with just filling it with a syringe like in the video? Or for that matter, just sliding the carto down like a liquintor?
Air pressure issues can cause some leaking until the pressure equalizes. It's a mystery...??

My syringes are made by EXEL and they are perfect in the 10ml and 20ml size. I get no leaks from either size. I also bought them through Amazon from Cal Vet supply. VERY reasonable prices, something like .20 cents each.

to save you folks a lot of speculation and guessing, use the ideal labrotories 20 ml syringes
use a old carto in a drill to punch out the hole. the fill hole plugs are made from the plunger from a 3ml ideal syringe.
in the morning i'll post the correct drill bit size if you would like.
the best price for ideal sysinges is the "anamal" link posted above.

Pressure causes leaking when the only escape path for that pressure is forcing liquid through the slot. Both ends are the same. The slot in the carto is all the way to one of them. You'd flip it so that the slot in the carto is at the top and fill it until just before liquid reaches the opening. Liquid in, air out through the polyfill.

I can't test this just yet until my tubes arrive, but I'd be shocked if it leaked.
