Well, if it takes 3ml, put 3ml of fluid in a 5-10ml syringe, insert into tank, first pull syringe plunger up to 4ml (causing a vacuum in bottle) then push only 1ml of fluid back in, bringing the tank back to atmospheric pressure. Pull/push/pull/push/pull/push several times, vacuum first then fluid. Make sure you keep the tank upright and the syringe pointing down during the process.

Yes, you definitely don't want to put pressure in the tank, you want to replace air with liquid, without effecting pressure in tank.

Well, that's my unedumacated 2 cents LOL

You'd have to seal both ends of the carto. ....-plug would work for the battery end, but unless it's a longer carto that protrudes at the mouth end where you could put the original condom back over it, you'll have to find a creative way to hold your thumb over it.

Otherwise, the vacuum you're creating will just pull air in through the carto.

Someone had a vid where the assembly was held upside down with the air pocket centered over the carto hole. Then the juice was added and the air was expelled through the carto.

Sorry, can't find it now...

That's how I've been doing it. Just flip it over so the 'top' is the end with the carto hole (which in general should be as close to the grommet as possible) and then just fill until it reaches the hole. The cartos actually end up pretty dry at the mouth end by the time you need to refill, so if a *little* seeps out, there is ample dry poly to soak it up.

It's just when the cut is on the down side that there would be problems.

yea as long as the air holes stay above the juice while filling it shouldn't flood or leak.

i got the patch too cuz it was too hard to focus my good eye with the fuzzy one in the way. it really sux. if you wear contacts and get some dirt in your eye just take them out and forget it. been wearing the patch since like monday and its only just now starting to feel a bit better. and my wife made fun of me too - at least until she ran into her friend that workes in the eye doctor office who told her how bad my eye really is. turns out its 5 ulcers - no wonder it felt like i had a drywall screw jammed in there....

I'm thinking about buying a box of 50 syringes. Anyone want to split with me? My Tractor Supply is still out of stock. I don't need 25 tanks though. LOL.

Oh, I'll also be interested in seeing how the tubing works out. What tubing was this? I must have missed it earlier. I was looking at some tubing at the tractor supply this morning, trying to figure out how to make it work.

I got these on ebay. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices. They work great, I've made a bunch of tank mods from them. When I got them, the seller was accepting offers, so I got them for $15, but $17.95 is still pretty good with free shipping. And you know they'll work.

That is a good deal. I think you posted that earlier, but I was too lazy to go back and check.

ETA: Oh, but I can't figure out how to buy them. The auction is over and I don't see any more of those listed by the seller.

It doesn't matter if they have 2 or 3 ridges. The thing we're looking for is the thicker style plunger. Mine have 2 ridges, and they work flawlessly.

Okay, gotcha. I figured 2 ridges would work, but the ones with 3 were likely to be the thicker ones, if that makes sense.

These are the ones I got. But they were not the good rubber pieces. The ones I got from Tracter supply were perfect.

Monoject Syringe without Needle at Drs. Foster & Smith: Syringes for pet caged birds
I think this is the right one: Syringe 20cc Without Needle (Ideal) 50/Box Luer Slip at PetsTruly.com

It says this: • Tri-Seal O-Ring reduces leakage and provides accuracy

I think tri seal is the type of plunger we are looking for.

Ricks- which ones did you order? Do you have a link?
