Thanks for the tip.

You're more than welcomed. You explained that a lot better than I.

A carto out of the tank maybe last me 2 days and inside the tank 10 days or maybe more. How long has you Boge lasted?

As I mentioned waaay back, I believe that the flow from the bottom keeps the base area flushed. Take an used non-tank carto and blow some of the joose out. Chances are that the initial ejected joose will be a LOT darker than subsequent attempts.

I opened the box, and they have the black wrapper. Apparently, I ordered the wrong items. I will not go through all of the trouble to remove the wrapper.

... but how can anyone be sure that no glue will leach out of the holes. Whadya think? Should I resell them, or try them in my tanks?

Sorry to hear that! Can you use 'em on a non-tank PV?

Removing that adhesive is a b*tch. Yeah, I read someone using 'em as is. But, I'd go through the hassle if I kept 'em.

I've been using only stainless cartos for my tanks. The mailman just came. I thought I'd stock up and get 3 $20 bundles of Boge 3.0 cartos from CCV, 15/pack, and I'd be set for a good long time. I opened the box, and they have the black wrapper. Apparently, I ordered the wrong items. I will not go through all of the trouble to remove the wrapper.

I have heard that someone punched them and used them in their tank recently, with no disturbance of the wrapper, but how can anyone be sure that no glue will leach out of the holes. Whadya think? Should I resell them, or try them in my tanks?

I would go ahead and use them. If the wrap starts to come loose then strip them or sell the balance.

I just don't want to go through the hassle of removing the glue. I don't need them desperately right now, just stocking up my "acorns" for the winter. I probably offer most of them for sale. I prefer my tanks, but I do have a new Sweetvape bottom feeder, so I'll save a few for her.

BTW< it looks like Jonah has the jig & punch sets back in stock. Jig & Punch for Cartos. I ordered one a couple of days ago.

Let us know how that jig and punch works. I can't tell by looking at it just how it works, especially that curly thingy. What I don't like about the other gizzmo, is you can't tell just how big the hole is until you take it out, and then maybe you have to put it back in to go bigger, then check it again.

I made my tanks a little over a month ago and I have noticed that I'm now getting a rubber taste. Anyone else that have been using them that long having the same trouble? I happened to have 4 syringes that I had not used yet, so I'm going to change them out when the juice is gone. Guess that maybe we'll have to change them out every month or so. Still a good deal as I love them.
I am having the same problem with the taste of rubber in my tank also. I use just tobacco flavor juice so maybe if the juice was flavored you wouldn't taste it as much (don't know) but I sure do. I'm going to take the plungers out of my tank and wash them with soad and water and put in a new carto. and see if that helps, if not I will put in new cut out plungers. The carto that is in it now has been in for 14 days and still working pretty good but, I think the rubber taste is now in the filler so I will toss it out.

You have a point there but, with the saddle valve you have the same thing. It does look like it should work very well and simple to use so it should be a nice addition for a tool to punch holes in carto's and a fair price with the punch and jig, but a saddle valve is cheaper. LOL

Aw, it's nice to know that my vaping peeps care about me.
I care about you too. I have tried to clean the glue off of the carto's with e-juice and it doesn't touch it. So I don't think the glue would soften or disolve and the black paper is like a vinyl sheet and should be ok. Thats just an opinion. Would I try it? Yes. but if you can use something else or sell them and get S.S. carto's that would be better of coarse. And like BILLB said you might try to exchange them.

Made one :)

Had to settle for 10ml syringes (couldn't find 20ml) - at least it's a faily narrow tank and doesn't look too strange even on an 808 battery.

I found that to punch the holes, use just 1 or 2 sheets of paper over a hard (e.g. concrete) smooth floor; more than that and the tube doesn't go through. I used an old 901 battery tube (with the paint sanded off). This is very slightly smaller than an 808 carto tube so ideal. If need to reuse the tube, use a rubber mallet otherwise the hamer end will get damaged (doesn't matter if use an old tube and use it again for this purpose).

It's quick to make, cost me only 50p for the two syringes (<$1) and works really well. On my mods in particular, voluminous vapor. Decided to make it virtually as long as the carto by using a drip tip. Not having one that fits inside, I made one out of an old 901 cart (minus the inner bit). It was rather loose so superglued it to a carto end cap and that worked well.

Highly recommended !

Use sandpaper. Wrap the sandpaper around the tube and twist for a minute (30s), then the other end. Removes the glue traces cleanly and shines up the tube taboot :)

BTW, PVC is not used for kitchenware because of possible toxicity (the chlorine in it, the 'C' - heat, UV light and acidic liquids); it is not considered 'food safe'. I'd remove the PVC and the glue, just to be sure. It's easy to do. I don't worry about it as a normal coating though as saliva is somewhat alkaline and most people use tips anyhow. But if it is PVC, I wouldn't immerse it in e-liquid.

I was the one who used the cartos with the wrappers. There was no disintegration of the wrapper seal. I am more concerned with using GooGone and not getting all the residue of that removed....I found it impossible to get all the glue off without GooGone.

I've been reading that some of you are getting a long time out of your cartos. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I use Boge LR...I have been using six tanks in rotation, for the last seven days, and three cartos are done.

The glue comes off easily with sandpaper - wrap around carto and twist for 30 seconds. Simple. No chemicals that might get into the carto.

Just to let you know, I sold the whole lot of black 3.0 cartos on the classies. I'm good with that.
