I have a Map tank for a XL CE2 that I want to convert to use cartomizers. It also has the thick tube. I have to think about how to modify the caps to use a carto.
That is the same size and type tube as the liquinator uses, just different caps. I knew you'd be impressed with the thickness of the tube.

Had a little scare this morning with my Ghetto tank after filling. It was flooding, and I'm thinking, what the heck, it has been performing perfectly. I blew out the excess in the carto, and it is ok now. I figure I probably squeezed the tank while getting it back together, so gotta be careful about that.

How do you make a syringe tank with a 306 atty or were you just wondering if we were paying attention - please explain or post a pic - thought about trying a 901 atty in a tank but there's no question that the juice would enter the air hole and drain out the battery end with no filler to hold it - can't imagine a 306 would fare much better - looking forward to your pic!
made a syringe tank using a 306 atty...absolutely one of the best vapes I've ever had.So clean and flavorful...and the vapor production is just outrageous!;)

I just wanted to stop in and thank everyone who has made this so easy for me. I made 2 all by myself!

I wanted a tank, I thought I wanted a tank, but reading the entire thread, I didn't think they'd work for me. (I take l-o-n-g, HARD draws and I'm really not interested in changing my vaping technique) but I finally broke down and tried it and it works! No leaks.

I've ordered one from madvapes now and I will cut it down to use on my 808 (standard) cartos. The ends of mine push out when I try to fill it and I think the little bit of rubber (or whatever) on the end of the madvapes one will stop that.

Do I just use the pipecutter to do that?

Thanks so much, guys.

Ricks, I'm really ,really interested in modding the acorn tank to work with my 808s so I'm watching with interest your technique for the MAP tank.

Hugs to all and Thanks again ~ Princess

What is it you are exactly trying to do?

When it gets here, I will have to cut the madvapes tube so I can use standard 808 cartos in it. A pipecutter? with something inside it for not cracking it.

Other than that, I really, really want an acorn mod (screw off top), but I don't care for CE2. So I'm watching to see what you do with the MAP tank to make it take cartos. (I saw the European one for sale, but I really can't pay that for a tank)

I have some o-rings from a 901 drip shield that I think might work but I dunno how to make a little circle in the tank top for them to set in (I had thought of a hot paper clip, but there has to be a more reasonable way to measure it than that)

Opps! I see now there are MAP tanks that take cartos. I thought you were trying to make a CE2 tank take cartos. NVM. "Princess brain" strikes again

Yes, put something in the tube that fits snug and cut away. As far as my CE2 map tank, I was thinking of using an adaptor and force it in the bottom cap. That will allow a cart to screw into it. For the top cap, well thats still in my head somewhere. It should work... I think

Keep us posted.

Drill it with the appropriate bit size?
Then...

see? That's where I am. It'll leak without some kind of something. I dunno.
I tried to use a silicone sealer (for saltwater aquariums, cause those fish are sensitive. I figured if it won't hurt them it probably won't hurt me) to glue my syringe mod and it didn't stick to the syringe wall. Let right go first time I tried to refill it.

I don't know what else might be safe to use.

Hi there everyone, haven't been on here posting :) Been going through my radiation andI have now got 19 days down with 14 days to go :) It has been tiring, but I am getting through :)

Now about my carto tanks :) I can't seem to get more than a couple of days out of my tanks :) The draw gets hard to quick and the flavor of the jooses seems to change :) Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to fix that and on how to clean the cartos :) Mind you that the cartos have holes in them, so they are not the same to clean like if they didn't have the holes in them :)

Hugs and Thank you,

Hope everything is going well with you, When you clean the carts with holes in them should be the same as without. I use a large syringe to clean mine(when I clean mine) which is not something I do too often. What carts are you using?

I didn't realize you were going through all of this. I pray for a wonderful, healthy outcome for you!

My 1st instinct would be to blame the juice. What kind of juice are you using? My hubby vapes a darker, sweet coffee juice, and his cartos only last a couple days, although he sucks on them an extra day or so until they are totally blocked. I diy my juice, and stick to mostly clearish juices, and my cartos last much longer.

Hi skeeter, glad to hear you are getting thru all that. I had been wondering about you and was hoping you were ok.
As far as your cartos go, the only experience I've had with cartos clogging up, has been due to the juice I was using. I never had any luck with sucessfully cleaning a carto no matter how I did it. If I get a juice that does that, I just discontinue using that juice. Hopefully someone else will come up with a soloution for you on cleaning that works for you.
Wish the best for you. :):)

Skeeterkck,

Been missing your cheerful purple postings lately. Hopefully, all is going well with your treatments! My bride went through such, post-surgery, four and a half years ago with resounding success.

As several others have suggested, I also have found that my darker jooses clog the cartos much quicker than the lighter ones. In fact, I used my original tank/carto with a 'light' peach nicquid for nearly three weeks. My vanilla bourbon cartos only last a week at best.

HI, Here's a nice kit for cleaning:Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

I use a syringe w/ a clearo mouthpiece similar to this, and overhot microwave water. If the carto is submerged, the xtra holes won't matter.

Diluting your juice some or ordering it in a higher PG level would help?

    Best wishes and prayers, Robert

May you get through your treatment quickly and get back to good health. I have given up on cleaning cartos nothing will bring it back like it was. In a tank mine will last many days, 5 to 8 and that's ok with me, that's way better than out of a tank. once in a great while I have run a paper clip up thru the carto and some times it will improve the draw. Take care of youself.

I forgot about the paperclip. altho I use a needle instead, I'm always catching the coils on the paperclip and killing them. There's also a trick where you insert the needle into the small holes (batt end), and pry the slotted batt connection thing UP.

That puts it back into the original position. If you notice when you buy them they'll stop w/ a gap left b/tween the carto and batt. That's where some folks believe in leaving them for best draw.

I do use some darker jooses :) Sometimes they last, sometimes they don't in the carto tanks :)
