Ok, I am looking at bottom feeders and new to these things, so forgive my lame question. I looked at a picture of the bottom of this atomizer on a link provided in an earlier post...I see no hole in the bottom. How does the juice get from the catch cup to the atomizer on this?

Some are not for bottom fed mods. That is probably what you saw. The ones for bottom fed do have the hole! The REO's have a hole in the connector. The juice comes up the tubing from a bottle and straight into the atomizer. The drip well is just there in case of over flooding.

Purple VV Grand (basic purple and not powder coated which has a lot more blue in it.) A few of my DTs in front to show what the Buzz Worx purple Bamboo drip tip looks like. In reality the Bamboo DT is a close match to REO but about as dark in photo. CV Ming on right has too much blue as seen in picture and is closer to REO color in reality. Ceramic DT on left is darker in reality and closer, too, to REO. DT second from left is truest of all as shown in picture but darker. Showing this to perhaps give us an idea of what the violet Hornet may look like. No guarantee but Buzz Worx does use the same anodizer for all aluminum. I just ordered a Violet Hornet from 310 Vapers so we should know what it looks like in a few days.

I think it's a tad stiff compared to the A7's and Reoatty, but not enough to want me to change it . Maybe it'll " break in". I had to use a pair of pliers to get the cap off when I first got it, but it's easy to pull off now and I've only had it since yesterday.

I posted a rant on the ERA FB page about how hard it was to get the cap off of SS Hornet. I actually hurt my back trying to get it off. I stopped using it because of that. Last night I soaked it in ice water and using pliers with rubber exam glove wrapped around cap I was finally able to get it off. So I took a new blade, on dissecting scalpel, to o-rings but wasn't able to get much off. Then took both o-rings off and tried one at a time in each of two groves. Finally settled on o-ring only on top grove. The anodized Hornet, I had here for a day before sending to friend, didn't fit so tightly. If it had been aluminum instead of SS the force I had to use would have probably damaged or deformed the aluminum cap. And yes I did lubricate the o-rings with PG before putting top on. I think my SS ERA may be a fluke. Hoping so.

None of the four ver 1 SS ERAs fit as tightly as this SS Hornet.

Now that I can take the top off without using a vice and pliers I love it as much or more than the ERAs.

That blue Hornet on the Blue REO is awesome. I like them all....but the blue....yum, yum!

The blue really is yum-yum. Actually my favorite but my daily, rugged REOs are all Silver anodized. I have at least two blue Bamboo DT segments and they are exactly the same color as Hornet and closest match to anodized Blue REOs.

BTW.... there is someone on FB suggesting doing a group buy of the Bamboo DTs. When we ordered the Bamboo DTs with ERAs, on the James Martin co-op, they were $15 per five segments; pretty expensive. I have read, somewhere on ERA FB page that in future Buzz will will do only three segments per set. No idea of price. The segments are interchangeable so you can do color combos. I got the reds and whites and blues by ordering red/white (delrin)/blue sets.

I guess Bamboo DT talk is off topic but they look so good on Hornets/ERAs.

Wow Alice that was a lotta reo porn back a few post. They all look great decked out.

Lots of potential REO porn here. I wish I had had more time to take enough shots to get better focus and lighting. And to put some appropriate DTs on. I usually shoot outside with natural light but Mother Nature isn't being cooperative. Lots of heavy rain, lightening, and flash flooding.

My Purple VVG just jumped off bathroom counter, onto ceramic floor, and broke matching Ming at base. Luckily I have other "purple" DTs but this one was special as it was a gift from a dear REOnaut when this color first came out. Sorry you know who you are..... Ol Bill. I've been very lucky lately not breaking Mings and Pawns mainly because I don't use them as much recently. I even had one Knucklhead DT separate when REO took a dive off same counter. At least it didn't take a leap into water.

the top cap on my Blk Hornet is insanely tight as well almost impossible to get off! Next time i redo the coil I think I'll try and find thinner orings

The listed orange is probably like the bamboo DT I got in first US ERA group buy. I was expecting it to be gold but it is very metallic orange compared to the gold Hornet. The "orange" bamboo DT is very orange compared to the gold Hornet that is much closer to brass than the "orange" DT. According to Budz peeps they use the same anodizer for all Budz Works aluminum.

I got a grey anodized Hornet cap in Corevape co-op. I really like it on my silver anodized REOs. (Not that I can use it as two of my three anodized Hornets didn't make it to US in co-op package and I gifted the only one that I got from co-op. And I'm still waiting for them. But I did get a SS from Indyvaper that I'm using.)

 That's a good one. Actually I have only one complete Hornet, the SS. The rest are just caps ordered from Corevape co-op as we had option to order extra caps. I ordered three complete Hornets, with extra caps. Only one made it but I sent it on to friend as I had ordered the SS from Indyvaper while waiting for co-op. A full fledged army of REOs needs a hive.

So.. I just checked my tracking and my Black Hornet has been delivered! YIPEE! I want to leave work early so I can go home and play with my new toy but can't! 1 more hour to go! :(
Do you have a favotite method to make your coils for the hornet? I have heard that it's a bit more tricky than the REOmizer that I have now due to smaller space between posts.
What's your favorite combo so far regarding number of wraps and coil gauge? I am still playing with my REOmizer with different combos. Currently I'm running 4/5 wraps on 30 gauge. Kicks like a mule but lacking flavor. I'm thinking to tone it down a bit to get more flavor from my juices. I also need to buy a meter so I can measure the resistance instead of guessing.
Your thoughts?

Alice, if there are any seal supply stores in your area that cater to the oil field industry, they could probably hook you up with o-rings that better fit your Hornet. If not, send me a Hornet, I'll take it to my local shop, find the best fitting o-rings for it so the cap fits snug but can still be pulled off without too much effort, then I'll send it back to you with a mess of those o-rings.

Provided there aren't any significant variances from one Hornet to the next, they should solve your dilemma.

PEMA SALES O-RINGS AND RUBBER PRODUCTS PRIMARILY TO THE OILFIELD, WE ALSO HAVE A LARGE STOCK OF SEALS FOR HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS.

They put hardware stores to shame. They got o-rings out the wazoo of varying sizes.
