That looks good. I have a tumbled silver/aluminum REO like yours. This may be completely unnecessary and .... crazy, but I was wondering if I could make my "remomizer" have a more "tumbled" look than the "shiny" look it has now? I wondering if simply sandpapering gently would do it or would it just turn more "gold/bronze" or something?

Thanks,

Norman

you could try a scouring pad but they are only chrome plated so if you not careful you could break through the plating

Don't know if its been posted here yet ??

But 310 vapers has them in fancy colors now :)

Just ordered an orange one (bottom feed of course) .....

Yay ORANGE Hornet on its way.

I had to go back and look cause I knew I hadn't seen orange in the pics but apparently there is also violet which is not pictured as well

Thanks for the tips guys. I might try some very light "scuffing up" and see what happens. If I'm not careful I'll end up with a brass "vein" finished "remoizer"

HA!

P.S. It seems like if you were going to make an atomizer named the "Hornet" you would offer up a "green Hornet" right? I don't see that color offered. Perhaps that "super hero" character/comic/TV show is not well-known in the Philippines or something.

Is there any particular reason to choose an ERA over a hornet for a regular grand? I'm really attached to the gold color of the Hornet, but I wasn't sure if there was any significant difference compared to the ERA.

EDIT: Eh, screw it. Ordered the gold BF Hornet.

I have both (ERA and Hornet) and I see NO difference except for the circumference of the bottom. If I could turn back time, I'd have more Hornets and fewer ERAs. :)

*Giggle, giggle*.....so do you, Scott!!! Come see me again! Did you hear Vapor Kings is opening a store in Stillwater? You up for a road trip? They're opening Feb. 2nd, so I'd imagine they'll have some sort of Grand Opening/Vapemeet sometime this spring. Start preparing yourself for another awesome day!!!

Yeh....that is probably true....hadn't compared the two side-by-side. I make my coils with just 4 wraps of 32 AWG wire, so I have plenty of room in whichever rebuildable I'm using. I just know that they're both great and that the Hornet fits EVERYTHING I own, and the ERA only fits my VV Grand and my Grand. So.....I wish the Hornet had been out at the same time as the ERAs came out....I would have chosen the Hornet.

From pictures the hornet looks a tad bit shorter than the ERA as well .... may be wrong though.

Any direction I can make a vaporizer smaller and not affect performance is good with me :)

Its actually a wee bit taller but not very noticeable really. I really like the machining on the Hornet better than the ERA

The listed orange is probably like the bamboo DT I got in first US ERA group buy. I was expecting it to be gold but it is very metallic orange compared to the gold Hornet. The "orange" bamboo DT is very orange compared to the gold Hornet that is much closer to brass than the "orange" DT. According to Budz peeps they use the same anodizer for all Budz Works aluminum.

I got a grey anodized Hornet cap in Corevape co-op. I really like it on my silver anodized REOs. (Not that I can use it as two of my three anodized Hornets didn't make it to US in co-op package and I gifted the only one that I got from co-op. And I'm still waiting for them. But I did get a SS from Indyvaper that I'm using.)

I bought a blue one earlier in the week from 310vapers, there is another site that has the hornet and the ERA for bottom feeders as well something like Indiana vapers but they have stainless and torches only.

I have the blue cap from Corevape co-op. It is a close match to our Blue REOs. Red, also, which is not as close as blue but a tiny more "cherry" to the red, which is fine. Red REOs have a "cherry red" tone to them compared to primary red.

The gold Hornet cap is lighter, or not as saturated as the Gold REOs but still looks good. (and it's certainly not metallic orange like my Bamboo DTs) It is a little lighter and a little more yellow than polished brass on WOOD REOs.

Sorry to say my two Black Hornets were missing from co-op delivery from Philippines so don't have yet but from pictures posted they are a definitely dark black and not anything like the torched SS.

I'll snap a picture of orange Bamboo DT with gold Hornet cap in picture up against a gold REO. Will also do gold Hornet cap sitting in WOOD REO brass catch cup. Hoping colors will be somewhat true. Ya'll know how hard it is to capture REO colors.

Looking forward to seeing a pic of violet Hornet cap. Would be wonderful if it was close to our Purple REOs.

Sorry out of focus. Redwood Mini, Gold Hornet, "orange" Bamboo DT. This picture shows colors truest. Hornet is sitting in cup as no base for.

Gold Mini, Gold Hornet, "orange" Bamboo DT (At purchase the "orange" DT was called gold.) In picture Gold Hornet looks a little like it has a bit of green but it doesn't in reality. Hornet is sitting in cup as no base for.

SS Hornet on Silver Anodized Mini 2.0. Anodized DT is actually the same color as Mini. SS not as dark as in picture. I had to lighten picture so that SS Hornet did not look torched and to get DT closer to actual. So Mini is washed out. Hornet is attached to base and screwed into REO fitting.

Grey Hornet on Tumbled Mini. Again, I had to lighten picture to get closer to real color of Hornet . It may show as more blue depending on your monitor but it is grey with only a hint of blueness. Hornet just sitting in cup as no base for.
