On day 2 with the AYS it's a little frustrating having to work the switch to get a good hit. Especially since when it's firing fully, the vape is great.

Tried putting the 2nd small magnet back in the switch and it's still not firing consistently.

When I push the button down (up?), the screwhead is making contact with the battery every time because the very limited rattle is gone. If I jiggle the pressed switched around, I will eventually get it to fire fully.

Is the small washer supposed to be against the magnets or against the screwhead? I'm assuming screwhead. I don't see how a longer screw would help since it gets screwed down fully to the post. I can see how a screw with a bigger screwhead would be different.

I appreciate all those that have been trying to help so far. If there's a better place to discuss this issue like in the groups, please point the way.

Have you cleaned it? If not, you make want to take the switch apart (SLOWLY) and wipe everything down with some alcohol or PGA. That includes the screw. Wipe the magnets, the base where the magnet sits, the threads on the switch and inside the tube. Reassemble being very careful not to let the magnets snap together. That can break them.

The washer goes under the screw head.

I know yellowman1972 helped another member out with what sounds like a similar problem.

If you read the comments below the YouTube video, mention is made of gently sanding the contact screw head in the switch. Could be something worth checking out?

Bingo!

Instant success!

Found the finest sandpaper I had around (220) and lightly sanded the top of the screw. Now it hits every time!

Good thing I tried it before I tried to sand down the top screw. Looked like it might take some effort to get in there. Was thinking about taping a piece of sandpaper to a battery then insert/spin.

Anyway my firing issues have been eliminated. Thanks a ton! :D

Is this something that you might be able to get used to? Might have to bite the bullet and just go for the stiff draw cap. I'm sure you can always sell it, or the other one maybe. ? Beats adding glue to your atty~

True but I already have a sizable amount invested already.

Rocking some masking tape. Easy to make changes. ;-) I'm not quick to mod ss on any genesis. I might get used to it. I'm just happy my flavor is back and I'm not getting so much air. It was making me light headed and no it wasn't nic OD. It's like jetting a carbrator. :)

you might also still clean everything with ISO. I find this helps and lasts longer. glad you have things worked out.

Hi all,
As I will be new to the Zen shortly I had a question. My setup right now is that I lay my mod and tank system down on its side on a pretty black cloth when not attached to my hand. Did I read somewhere that this wouldn't work with a Zen as the juice would leak out?

Thank you so much,

Chris

Does this mean its not pocketable either then?

Seems I've read about many people loosening the screw to pocket and ensure it doesn't fire, but I haven't heard much in the way of leakage concerns...

Inquiring minds want to know as we wait....

I pocket mine all the time, just make sure it stands up in your pocket and it will be fine. :)
