Mine is electric. :( I can buy a torch or bunson burner, or whatever it's called if someone tells me what it's called I can find one I'm sure somewhere.

You can get a butane creme brulee torch in lots of places. This is cheap and easily refilable. I got mine from China-freight

Happy birthday to all celebrating becoming one year younger. :p

cryptodogg, I think it's beautiful. I'm impressed. I like it when someone takes the time to really take care of something that's important to them.

Oh yes, Happy Birthday to all the birthday folks too!

Cool. Thanks. That's all I need. I have seen a lot of reviews where people use these big expensive looking torches. Thanks for the link too. :)

Just an FYI, chef-style torches are designed to withstand the heat of being on for long periods of time whereas most pocket-style ones are not. I stopped using an expensive pocket-style one that I used for lighting cigars when it got so hot while oxidizing a wick that I couldn't hold it and the flame took about 10 seconds to actually go out when I let go of the button. Chef's torches are much safer IMO and worth the $20 to $30 you'd spend.

That is a lot of sleep Ash! When I sleep that long I wake up feeling like I need MORE sleep! LOL

Hi MissEmma :) Can I go on the roadtrip to see Ash too? LOL

I don't think I'll be making a trip to see Ash any time soon, but maybe Karla and I can meet. She lives in the same country..LOL.

Looks incredible rwechsler! Shiny is good!

Now tierrataz, what do I have to do to get more flavor? Change the wick? I went down to 4 coils and it's definitely producing more vapor but flavor is still way muted. It really sucks to get all that plumage and it tastes like I diluted my juices down with a ton of vg.

End of day 3 with AYS and still looking for the flavor.

Made my own wick, cut 18mm wide, and oxidized ala Jackfrost from UKV. I'm running 3/4 coil. Slightest restriction (tape) on intake. :)

A clue I STUPIDly missed was how dark my juice was getting in the tank. Never had Halo Freedom look like a dark chocolate flavor. Plus the Teflon was stuck to the wick by the bottom coil and came out when I pulled wick. It is stuck fierce but tube looks intact.

On the topic of torches. Anyone successfully use propane torches (i.e. canister type used for sweating pipes, etc)? I've seen some comments that people feel they may be too hot, but it would seem this could be easily controlled based on where the wick is held to the flame, etc... Anyone have any success or failure using one for wicks?

I know the mini will come with enough to last quite some time, but curiosity is killing this cat.

Finally getting back in business.

Someone with experience. Is this coil good? Is the top loop too loose? Should I just vape it? It seems a bit harsh so far but I *just* wrapped it. This is a new coil and wick.
