Hey Everyone,

Got my standard and wow! What an awesomely well crafted machine. I've read how great they are but until I got it in my hands and played with it, I had no idea.

I can't right a full review after 24 hours, but here has been my experience so far. I decided to do the opposite of what my normal m.o. would be, I listened to Zen and didn't tear into everything.

So I get my destroyed package in the mail and am thinking "oh no". Open it up expecting the quartz to be broken but much to my surprise, everything looks great.
I then fill it up, put a battery in, do some "burns" and hit it.

The first vape was like getting punched in the mouth by a skinhead with brass knuckles, I do have #88, so that makes sense. I've been punched by a few people with "88" tattoos, I just wasn't expecting my Zenesis to do it, lol. Instead of tearing everything apart, I start carefully moving the coils around till they are all glowing evenly. I have to do this a few times and eventually get it. Total time spent adjusting coils is about a minute.

Take a vape, still tasting metalish. Clip the wick so that it's below the post, do a couple more burns, and vape again. This time good vapor but no flavor and a little on the harsh side. I was tempted to tear it apart and change to a 325 wick and add an extra wrap on the coil but decided to be patient. I kept using it with throughout the night regardless of the low flavor and the sub-par wicking.

This morning I took my first vape and the volume of vapor was astounding. It's wicking perfectly and producing vapor like a champ. My flavor is still weak but I'm guessing it's the juice / coil combo. My all day juice is pretty subtle so I may need to add an extra wrap. I think I'll give it some more time before I change anything because not being myself has made this new experience pretty headache free.

So to all the other noobs like myself, slow down, listen to Zen and the others that have cleared the path for us, it will all come together.

It's now time for me to get my old school punk rock on and vape myself into frenzy!

I am posting this as it may help others on FEBUARY LIST ONLY
I received my mini but after about 10 minutes of use the button had almost came off. I figured it just got overlooked and hell I can fix that. I took it apart and re-assembled it and tightened the contact screw until it was close to bottoming out then backed it up just a little. Since that time it fired but nothing stayed the same with the coil, shorts, not glowing, glowing then stop, ect.. . I read about problems that others were having on the standard yet the mini only had wobbly issues so i figured my switch should be good. Zen posted a repair for the standard switch using an o ring which I thaught was much better idea then maring the threads on something that screwed into ss. I cut very small piece just to ensure the screw could'nt loosen again. I battled with coil making for a month with no success and this is not my only genesis mod, yah i'm at my wits end. So last night I screwed the contact screw back out and bam it works properly, I just can't stand it up or it fires. I am sure if I fiddled more I could fix that too, thats my experience and I hope it might help someone else. I could be the last dummy to figure out why it's not working. If my grammer sucks, it's cause my english sucks and it's all mixed with spanish so best i can do.

just keep one thing in mind, the Marchies got the new switch and the Febbies still have the old switch so what works for you may not work for us.

Okay, short question. Not in length, but about shorts. So, two of my coils (wraps?) light up right away and the other two take their time but after pulsing and holding down the button for a second, they catch up and it glows nice and uniformly. Is that a short or not?

If I directly drip on the wick I get a few good hits and then burnt. This is consistent. Since I know it's user error, I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I juiced and burned about 6 times to start then filled the tank and have checked for shorts several times (though I'm not quite sure how to identify them yet). I am a light vapor so is this still part of breaking in? I've only gone through... 1/4 or maybe 1/2 tank of juice I'd guess. I filled it 3/4 and now just filled it again to see if it would help with wicking. It was down to about a 1/4. Oh - if I hold it upside down for a second it's good for one, maybe two good hits and then bam! Punched in the mouth! I'm getting pretty good vapor production, flavor... is so/so. Not great yet.

I've done all I can after reading and researching - now I need help!

Yes that is a short, they should all glow evenly together. Probably shorted on the wick, take your syringe and move them a little and try it again.

Zen, I'd like to take a moment (before the storm hits harder), to thank you for sending our Zenesis's completely rigged up like you do. The Visual really helps in visualizing ... doh' lol... how it all should look and be. Sure, it gets jiggled in the mail, but after studying how it's supposed to go, it makes it so much easier to actually approach redoing it if needed. Keep on a-rolling and have fun at the meet!

Well, it doesn't help that I toasted my last 357 the other day. Cartos do not do my beloved Boba's any justice. I can't wait to get my hands on something that I can just fix rather than have to try to track down when everything is in short supply. It gets rather irritating.
