How friendly is your place of work to vaping?

I work in retail and I was surprised how cool my store management is toward vaping. Out of the 60ish employees in my store, about a third smoke. Of that third about ten have switched to vaping since the start of the year. Our GM is a non smoker but he allows vaping in any back area, basically anywhere except the sales floor. When the first two employees started vaping, I was one of the two, we sat down with the GM and explained to him what a PV was. He thought it was great. He cleared his store policy with district staff and it's moving across our market now. Its nice when your company supports your move to be healthier.

my store has no issue with it, but im the only one there that vapes, no smokers and the gm is a long term friend of mine and she used ecigs to quit smoking then quit those. but im always discrete and will only vape in the back room. not to mention im one of the managers and only 1 manager works per shift so there is no real authority above me to say otherwise.

I can vape at work but only in certain areas. I work for my family so it was a bit easier to get past "management". Since we have customers that come in the front office my father asked that I vape out in the shop area. I am OK with that. I used to have to go outside to smoke so being allowed to vape in the building is a plus as far as I am concerned.

yeah my biggest concern is customer reaction affecting the store, i work for tea company. so we are technically considered a food item as tea falls under the category of needing permits and food management certs. i could totally see a customer freak out and cause a ruckus. so i just always look for things that need to refilled and get them from the back. of course it usually takes a little longer but it keeps everyone around me alive.

My job is very much dependant on customer perception. We have customers that have been with us for over 20 years so my dad didn't want a bad image with them. After working here the last 21 years I totally understand. Customers are hard to get and harder to keep these days. If I am sent to the shop to vape to maintain our business then so be it. And since I converted three other people at work to vaping I have a place to hang out, vape and chit chat. :)

We have a no tobacco policy anywhere on the property(which by my observation isnt very strictly adhered to) at my place of employment, however they allow us to vape just about everywhere. Being a new employee, I didn't want to push my luck with analogs and switched to vaping. It's nice not going outside in the heat/cold to smoke and worry about the smoke police catching you.

I work in retail as a vendor so I'm store to store daily. I vape in the back rooms and sometimes a little on the floor but do ot stealth like and really try not to get anyone or myself into trouble.
Most of the time i go outside with the smokers as to keep my routines the same.

The business manager at my rural health clinic is a discreet vaper so even though he is at the front desk interacting with both patients and employees, he vapes all day and no one seems to notice and certainly no one has voiced opposition. His vape flavors smell so good that since he began vaping several months ago, EVERY employee (all distantly ex-smokers & never-smokers) now has a mod at work and at any given moment there is a space in the clinic that smells like a potpourri breeze has blown through. We go to him for advice about all things VAPE and it cracks him up now I just hope this new hobby doesn't turn out to be unhealthy! :vapor:
