I've been vaping since mid-January, a little over a month now. I feel like I just can't win! Every time I figure something out or fix something, something else gets worse.

Finally, I've found a PV I like, and I also love the taste of Ms. Ts Bakery eliquid. The problem is that now I've realized since I'm totally off cigs and vaping all day long that the ejuice I have is waay too strong.

I've spent the last two days trying to cut stuff down with glycerine low enough that I can actually still taste something but not get a monstrous headache. (Of course, trying every new concoction I make is not really helping to lower my nic levels...lol). I'm waiting on some flavored zero nic juice to arrive that will hopefully help.

But that's the thing. I feel like ever since I picked one of these up, I've been waiting for something to come in the mail that will "fix" things and make everything better.

I love vaping. It's awesome. But waking up with cold sweats in the middle of the night with my heart beating out of my chest like a steel drum, being unable to sleep from some combination of heart beating/anxiety/sweatiness/my head is killing me is really, really, really not fun. I'd go back to cigarettes, but I can't STAND them anymore. (They are yucky.)

Will I ever get it "right?" Will I one day order the final piece to make everything click? Have you?

I really wish I had an answer. I am responding so this post doesn't get buried and maybe someone with an answer will come along. Look through the health section and see if you can find something that pertains to your headaches. You could be having a reaction to vg/pg.

That first morning cig and the after dinner one were the worst for me. I use various strength juice through the day to fix that. Took me weeks to get it close. I'm eight?, or so, weeks in and just now getting it down to a fixed routine.

Yes, it can take time. I often found the "Stopped smoking as soon as I got my PV" post discouraging and encouraging at the same time.

You are not alone.

Maybe try some of Tasty Vapors stuff they sell 1 oz bottles of nic juice and 4 oz bottles of 0 nic doublers. Basically you can cut your nic down and maintain all the taste by cutting with doubler.

Of course with that zero nic juice you have coming you can tailor make your juice by strength and taste. Check the DIY sub forum here for tips on mixing. Good luck.

Not sure how long it takes to get it right. It is such a huge learning curve, figuring out what works for you and what doesn't.

I don't even want to figure out how much $$$ I have spent ordering carts and juice and batteries, only to find out that I don't like 1/2 of what i ordered.

I'm sorry you are getting headaches and stuff, hopefully someone here can help you with that.

Hang in there. :)

You might be reacting to the PG, it made me feel bad too, so I switched to strictly VG (no PG at all) which limited my choices, but now I can vape all day with no problems. It took a few days of not using the PG juice to notice a change, because I had to get it out of my system. Try Americaneliquidshop.com and get the VG only liquid, or alienvisionsejuice.com which only sells VG liquid due to PG reactions the owner also has, and see if your situation does not improve. Be careful, many of the other companies that sell VG have some PG in the flavor they add, I had to research this since I am very sensitive to PG, and can not even tolerate small amounts from the flavors. If you are not sure, send the companies you are curious about an email asking if they have completely PG free juice. Also, keep in mind that if you abruptly stopped smoking regular cigs, you could be experiencing some detox from all the chemical build up from smoking. I can see why too much nic would make you feel bad, but if you still have these reactions with your lower nic juice, PG reaction may just be the reason. Some of us are just not PG compatible. As with all new things, there is an adjustment period, trial and error, so be patient with yourself, do as much reading as you can here in the forum or elsewhere on line. It took me a couple of moths to figure out a solid routine. I hope you start to feel better. Also, if you find it is the PG and have a surplus of PG juice you can't use, I think you can go to the classified section in this forum and sell it to make some of your money back, so you are not at a total loss. Lucky for me, by boyfriend has no problem with the PG, so he is using all the flavors I couldn't...

I've been strictly vaping now for only over a month, and just now have my routine down, my kits organized, etc... I tried to start vaping over a year ago, went through two different (expensive) crap starter kits which didn't last very long. I think I've finally got it. It's becoming quite the new hobby, though. I'm actually starting to go down in my nic amount now so that eventually I won't be dependant at all on it - and then I can finally be FREE alltogether.

Can't say I've got things down pat yet, I've only been vaping 2 weeks and the postage turnaround on things here is on the order of 10 days or so. Things on the list

-Try some more liquids. I'm only really happy with one of the 4 I initially ordered (cappuccino), the rest have an assortment of issues like poor amount of vapour produced and a prickly, peppery taste. Think I need to step up the nic a little too.

-Find the right cart mod. Until a manufacturer comes out with some sort of miracle cart that will vape dry out of the box, this might be a wild goose chase.

-Build a local network. I suspect I am the first person in my local area to get a PV, and I'm sure I can get a few more people interested. I have an alterior motive here though (emergency liquid supply network!)

Almost 4 months for me and I know what you mean. It's frustrating sometimes. Hang in there and keep trying new juice (lower nic and/or VG) You'll settle in on what works best for you.

Another thing to think about... I know with me, I went through a period of time (about a month) of just not feeling well (headaches, moodiness, racing heart, anxiety, etc...) and looking back now, I think it may have been from coming off real cigarettes. My body was freaking out! But, now I'm doing fine and have settled in with my new habit and am loving life again. There are days (now and then) where I feel like it's just too much trouble messing with these things.... but, then an hour or so later I'm loving it again!

Anyway, wishing you the best and hoping things get better.

Amen to that:D

. I tried to start vaping over a year ago,
I can finally be FREE all-together.

My original intent on even thinking about vaping was to cut back and not smoke at work. However I was very encouraged by hearing all of the people say that they stopped smoking as soon as they got theirs, so I was of course dissapointed that I miraculously did not just "throw my smokes out the window" the first time I vaped:mad:
I have however cut back on the amount of smokes I do have, but at this point I think it is a mental obsession, and not yet having the complete desire to stop yet. I am still hoping that it will hit me at some point. The night before last I ran out of smokes before I went to bed and I did not buy any more until late the next day and was fine. But still went and bought some more late that night. I guess with this tool at some point I will just not want to smoke any more:rolleyes: I am still working on what flavors and nic levels will work for me.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I definitely think it's too much nicotine causing the heart palpatations and night sweats. Since I've been cutting, those have gone away. However, the jury is still out on the headaches, as I get them with zero nic juice too (although it could have mixed with some 24 mg on the atomizer...) Maybe it's dehydration, although I'm drinking water like a camel!

Could be pg. The Ms. Ts stuff is a pg/vg mix, but geez, I hope it's not, because vg really doesn't hold flavor well. The Vermont Vapors stuff I have has very little taste. (And I love my sweets! :p)

Overall, though, feeling much better today, and still cigarette free, so that's saying something.

I am almost 3 months in, I found 4-5 flavors I like quite a bit. I have a couple mods I like quite a bit. Just started with Carto's as well.
I vap 12-16 mg
My biggest concern is my bp I take it 3 times a day it has gone up since vaping. I will throw some #'s out there but.......................these are my #'s

150/100...............to me that's a bit high, and yes they are lower in the morning.

I am going to see a doc soon because as I said a bit concerned.
But not willing to give up Vaping, the doc is going to have to deal with it.......give me a pill.

Depends on your definition of "right" I guess...

1) It has to be good enough so that I don't smoke anymore
2) It has to be good enough so that I don't ever want to smoke anymore
3) It has to be completely satisfying without undue hassle
4) I have a compulsion to always constantly aim for the perfect vaping experience

I have been doing this 8 months now.

I got to level (1) the first day.
I got to level (2) the fourth day.
I got to level (3) in about one month after finding the blue foam.

I have been stuck at level (4) ever since.
:D

That's interesting, since everybody seems to say their BP has gone down.
In fact I think this might be the first time I've seen anyone say it has gone up.

Good luck, and keep us posted please?

Lower nic in the evenings and lower nic if you have your PV stuck to your face in the evenings cos you love it so much; I know i do
Headaches, palpitations, sleep disorder are all symptomatic of nicotine overdose. Don't panic you're not about to die (maybe just feel like it), but you do need to cut back on your nic levels or intake. Ceratinly a couple of hours before bedtime will ease your symptoms considerably.
Some people are sensitive to PG its true ( itchy skin, dry mouth and sores that dont go after a few days - but these can also occur in people with no sensitivity) but its far more likely, given your other symptoms, that your nic level is too high. Ms Ts does do a low nic version of her juices, can't recall if she does a NO nic version but she might if you ask her or its not showing on the drop down menus on her site.
You can vape straight PG or VG with no flavoring - it won't taste of anything except vapor though, depends if your 'addiction' is more to the smoke/action than anything else.
I made a similar mistake to you when I started (and btw it took me a week to quit ciggies, didn't chuck em right away), and got too high a juice. Now almost all my juices are 12mg and that works fine for me.
It IS a balancing act at first.
Find the right flavor (I have far too many I love now)
Find the right nic level (Think Ive got that one sorted lol)
Don't vape so much its worse than smoking was. (yeah lol..might try tobacco flavors to try and reduce the amount I vape, I used to chain at weekends, so weekends isnt an issue, but during the week, I vape way more than i used to smoke)

TLDR: You WILL get it right (right for YOU that is) but it may take some time :)
