I had hair on my head rather than everywhere but my head and my waste size was less than my leg when i started vaping...... I think i gave up counting after 10 years.
No doubt i will be buried clutching a vape (and i'm still using the same e-liquid flavour - Hangsen RY2).
I've lived through every scare-mongering tabloid story regarding vaping and nothing has dropped off (except my hair obviously - which i'm fairly certain is not due to vaping but am happy to join any class action damages claim  ).

Started vaping on the eve of Hurricane Irene (011). Honestly thought that if my needs for a smoke was making me dumb enough to walk in a hurricane for a pack of cigarettes, I would been well and truly hopeless. 12 years was the last time I had an analog, and I have no plans to stop vaping.

Wow, 15 years! I'm familiar with a few users here in the 10 - 12 year range, but 15! That's real close to half of my smoking demon's life before I kicked the sticks and continued vaping, and that has been only not even 9 years yet.

Close to 13 years! I laid the Marlboros down for good on August 20th, 2010. I have vaped almost as long as I smoked. I had smoked for 17 years, 2 years a few a day (I was in high school still) but once I moved to college at 18, I spent 15 years smoking a pack to pack and a half per day. I will vape til the day the good lord removes me from this earth! I was a good prepper and stocked up with enough goodies to get me through the rest of my life.

I got my first ecigs on 16-Dec-2009, but I officially count from 13-Nov-2011, because that's the day I quit smoking (aka 169,353 cigs ago). Therefore, I'll be 12 in November.

I do plan to quit vaping one day, coincidentally the same day (and moment) that I take my last breath from this earth's air. :vapor:

After 45 years of smoking, I'm at 8 years now. Prior to that 5 years of messing around with cigalikes, starting in the days when you could only get them at kiosks in the mall. Cutting down but never quite getting off the cigs. Discovered ECF when I googled for cigalikes after my supplier closed down. When I got on here I discovered there was better gear available and quit right away. Sigelei 20 tube mod and Pro Tank did it for me.

Like other people said in this thread ECF was a life saver. During the painful time after quitting I was on here for hours every day.

Have a feeling I could quit vaping without too much trouble now but it's become more a hobby than a need. Doubt I'll quit unless a good reason comes along.

You were a few months ahead of me both getting your first e-cigs and also quitting smoking.

Sometime in 2010 I bought a couple of 3 piece 510 kits online. Of course I had no clue how to use them, so I lurked here on ECF for a while trying to figure it out. I tried a few things people suggested, but I couldn't get them to work consistently enough to quit smoking.

At a Christmas get together in 2011, somebody told me that e-cigs had gotten a lot better than when I first tried them. I came back to ECF and someone was talking about Mistic brand e-cigs they got from Walmart. I eventually went and bought some myself, and the rest is history.

I lit my last cigarette at 7:15 in the morning on Feb. 11, 2012. I was sitting on the couch in our den drinking a cup of coffee and watching Fox News on TV. I knew it was my last cigarette, and I savored every puff.

The only thing I won't forget is the date I switched, Sept. 29, 2014. Some PHP code and simple math make my vapin' page (Southern Maryland Computerguy - Vape for those with sigs turned off) look like I know how to keep track of things..
Alright, learned something new today :D . I never knew somd is short for Southern Maryland.

I always assumed it was a typo and it was suppose to be somecomputerguy :|

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
