As a newbie, just curious as to how long many of you have been stockpiling nic, buying tanks and coils, etc.

Things still might work out great for all of us, but this wishful thinking doesn't seem to be shared by many on ECF.

Things are looking bad globally for vapers and I am curious if many folk have been fearing the worst for years or is this a recent trend.

Cheers!

No real planning........ I just impulse buy when something interest me. This has lead to a Good Back up of Mechanical Mods as well as 15 Regulated mods 15w-180w, so far. 100mg/ml nic is now over 3 liters and a good stock of Rebuilding supplies for all my RTA's/RDA's(roughly 50)
250 Brick of Lazer drilled Cartos and several Carto tanks in the reserve stash.
Fridge/ loaded with extra Flavoring.

ummmm.................I think I'm ready

Always kept a decent supply of nic around. As for gear, I reckon I can just dig through some boxes and wipe the dust off some old gear and be good for a loong time. Not all super gear, but it'll do just fine in a pinch.

Been stocking up more nic than usual during the last 3 months, tho.

What I'm most worried about is traveling with gear if an increasing number of countries gets strict regulations.

I started stocking up Nic after 3 months vaping, which is 1,5 years by now.
Just outta curiousity, I just calculated my current stash will last me ~40 years. But as I mix for some friends as well I might stock up some more. :D
Now that Euro regulations are near, I am going to buy some more mods and rebuildables, plus I have 10L of PG and VG coming my way as well as 250g Menthol crystalls.
I dont expect PG, VG and flavours becoming unavailable but better safe then sorry.

just started a few months ago....made some pretty big investments (end year bonusses spend ) , I don't want mechs, so going for higher quality devices. But now I'm set for a long time with:

- 8 liters of 36 mg Nic (I vape at 6mg, will last me 10 years)
- 15 liters of 0mg Nic (I assume this will still be available, but it will keep between now and when it's used, so I thought to be safe and have a little stock just in case)
- 13 Mods (of which 6 are dicodes, 1 Sx Mini M, 1 original Xvostick and 1 Provari Radius) rest are 2 clone xvosticks and 2 heatvape invaders. My GF also has another 6 mods
- 7 Kabuki's (4 original, 3 clones), my GF has another 4.
- 10 goblin mini's (8 original and 2 clones)
- 250 Nauti coils
- several 100 feet of wire and a stack of cotton

sold all my other stuff...sticking to the tanks/RTA's of the same make, they hit my sweet spot and this way I only need 1 type of coils and spares.

I'm all set now, and don't really feel the urge to buy more :D Feels good to be prepared for al eventualities.

Wouldn't 0MG nic be just VG/PG??

Since day 1. My parents grew up during the Great Depression. There was never any such thing as "enough" when it came to consumables. I'm a firm believer in staying stocked up on water, ammunition, mac & cheese, toilet paper, and vape gear. Buy it cheap and stack it deep!

Must be around 2 or 3 years now, since we first began thinking about it and hearing the FDA's plans. & I really don't have all that much of a collection, despite my constant planning... because i rarely have work, or a job, to make $$ to buy new RDAs and mods. The mods I have in my collection were VERY HARD for me to obtain... They took hard work and determination, and months of planning.

I don't have much stuff, but i have what it takes to continue vaping into the future. It is very hard for me to see people laughing-off the fact that they are "Mod Addicts" and that they've got 20 mods and 40 RDAs, that's sometimes very hard for me to read, because it's very easy for me to feel jealous, and feel helpless, to the FDA regulations... I sometimes wish that I could just, create an ungoing thread, asking for any RDAs that ECF members would other-wise toss out. You've no idea how many times I've read the words "It didn't wick right" or "I didn't like the airflow" paired with "so I tossed it in the trash" with a stone dropped to my gut... ahaha... that sucks to see.

Just keep collecting. Even if you dont make much money- Even if you dont make any money, usually, like myself - Just keep trying. Just keep trying to collect, and it will slowly, but surely, build up, over time.... I now own over 5 RDAs, and few great working mods that i am genuinely proud of. My Provari, my Reo, my Evic, my Evic Mini, my Subox Mini, my Natural, my Silverbullet- these were all smart purchases, and I continue to use these mods to this day, and they will serve me WELL into the future.

My advice to you, is to just, slowly buy what interests you... Dont buy in bulk, dont go crazy.. Just buy what interests you, as it is released, and over time, you WILL amass a collection of RDAs/tanks and Mods that will serve u well into the future.

Good advice.
I think you did it the smart way. Save your money as you can, do your research, and buy smart.
I have a friend that I'm trying to get to become a full time vaper, and she was shocked by the cost of some gear (I've probably spent a few hundred dollars trying to get her set up - she doesn't make a lot of money and was out of work at a bad time) yet she doesn't have an issue spending $6 a day, every day, to support her smoking habit.

lol i did it the ONLY way! if I spend $10 on vape gear, its the ONLY $10 i have. lol.
I def recommend taking it slow, though... just buy what interests you and dont be afraid 2wait for prices to go down.
Absolutely. There's really no need to be the first kid on the block to own a SuperFog2000. Patience is a virtue, they say!

I have been a survivalist and prepper since 1973.

I lived in tornado alley (Kentucky and Tennessee) and never knew when I would have to grab my bug out bag and get out of the way of the storm, then moved to Washington north of Oregon. There I had to deal with earthquakes, and possibly volcano ash. the in 1980 that part of Washington was covered with 8 inches of ash.

I am very happy with the cheap clones I get from fasttech. Let the others pay $100-300 for an RDA or RTA. Mine so far has cost $30 or less. Most of the time $12 or less.

He who dies with the most toys is dead. If someone wants to pay the prices let them. Besides most of the authentic attys I have bought SUCKED!
