My memory of how long it actually took to get things from blu was suspect, so I just logged in to check...

I ordered my starter kit on 6/19 and got it on 7/13. I was okay with that, because I knew about the order-shutdown to catch up on the backlog, so I wasn't expecting it much earlier than that.

My second order was for four extra atomizers on 8/1. They arrived on 8/8.

My last order was for two extra batteries on 8/10. According to blu, they shipped yesterday, but I believe they (inexplicably) post a ship date one day early, so IN THEORY they shipped today and I may have them on Saturday. If so, that's not bad at all. I'd classify less than a week from order to delivery pretty good for anyone, and practically a miracle for blu. :)

ordered on 7/5 canceled last night and ordered 510. Blucig's rep kept telling me that it will be shipped tomorrow for about 2 weeks. Emailed the president couple of times and he assured me first time that it will ship 2 weeks ago so i emailed him again and he assured me again that it will ship this week and it didnt. so i decided that im not going to take this bull**** anymore and ordered 510.

USPS tracking number tells me that my batteries are currently sitting in my mailbox at home. So, less than a week from order to delivery... just like my last order from blu.

I quit smoking almost 4 months ago, mainly for health issues, also cause someone (thank you someone!) pushed me a little bit to do it.

I'm a happy non-smoker, specially when i think about the other issues of the smell, the ashes, etc, but from time to time i have found myself wanting to just try it again, and i was a heavy smoker, 1 pack a day, even more when outside on a club or at a party or something like that.

I guess that what i missed the most is the actual experience, the act of inhaling and exhaling smoke, so one day i came a cross a BLU CIGS banner, never heard of anything like it, and it really caught my attention, it was just the thing i have been thinking i would like to exist for a long time, and at this time, even when ,i quitted smoking i was thinking on trying this little beautiful things, but they were not taking orders at that time, so i waited a couple weeks until the did, and i placed my order of my blu pack on 07/31/09 , and it was only after that that i noticed that this was indeed a really big thing, i came across a lot of information on the subject, to the point i started considering to cancel my order, but wait a minute, i'm not even smoking right now!!! so i don't actually need this, i just want to try it, so i decided that i wasn't going to cancel, and then start reading some more about it and then i noticed that the initial cartridges on the blu pack night not make it through a whole month so, i ordered an additional 25 cartridges having in mind the delays with the shipping, i kept reading and found the wide variety of e-cigs, and that BLU was just another brand, but isn't that pcc a beautiful thing? i know the reviews and bad experiences of a lot of people with the waiting and so, but i was willing to wait for it, ok, after that i was reading a lot on the matter and learn all about cartridges, atomizers, e-juice, e-liquids, e-dripping, etc, and decided i was going to get another starter kit, i haven't ordered yet, maybe today or tomorrow, anyways, a couple of days after i placed the order for the extra menthol cartridges i found that it was already shipped (the cartridges only, not the starter kit), well that's a really weird thing, as a matter of fact, i received today, just 3 days after i placed that order, and it's been 17 days since i ordered the starter kit and they say i might have to wait for another 2-4 weeks, well that's ok with me at this time, but it's funny that i have now 25 cartridges and no e-cig.

Just anxious to get my new starter kit, i've found some interesting options, but haven't decided yet, so maybe next week i'll be "smoking" again. ;)

I was a 1-1.5 pack per day Marlboro Red 100 smoker for 21 years.

I now carry a 510 manual with PCC, in black, with a blue LED, Black 901 with blue LED and an Evo at all times and have a black 801 that I use on a regular basis as well.

I'm also thinking about a kissbox equivalent and some manual batteries for my 801 and 901.

You'll find VERY quickly that "look and feel" mean squat...Just like everyone else that thought they were important in the beginning. The things that matter become more apparent once you're into the vaping thing for a while.

(Also, an Evo with the mighty atom battery (White 402) lasts 5-6 hours per battery per charge and they charge from dead to full on USB in 15 minutes so...a PCC means diddly with those)

www.intellicig.com

You'll learn, though. Let us know when you get a 510, an 801 or a mod.

Terraphon I agree with you 100% about the size of the blue compared to the analog. It does not mean squat.

One of the first ecigs I ordered was a penstyle Love it. Since then I have ordered several more.

I am so glad I didnt fall into ordereing a Blu, I have heard not too many nice things about it. It is like the old saying anything, that seems to good to be true, usually is (20 carts, pcc and 2 attys and 2 batteries for $59).

Yeah hard to beat the price, but I would much rather order my ecig supplies that are professional, answers emails, prompt shipping, and a lot do offer warrenties.

Anyway my 2 cents worth, Also I love watching your videos, informative and I love the way you smack your lips and say tasty lol:)

Soooo just checked my email, he replied in 7 MINUTES. which is awesome. like i said i wasn't (and still aren't) expecting to actually get mine any sooner since it's barely been over 2 weeks and most people seem to wait at least a month, but here's my email and his.

and his reply:

UPDATE: just checked my order status and it says "shipped" now I really can't complain about their service. I understand they're having issues and even then, ONE quick communication and my order bumps up the line. (^_^) Just like everyone else who's had their status changed, i don't know if that means it's ACTUALLY shipping today, or if they're just trying to make me happy, but either way i'm satisfied for now.

Radicalxedward that is great that you are getting yours bumped up so to speak, but I dont think that is fair for the other customers who has their orders in way before yours.

I understand you can catch more flies with honey then vinegar so to speak, You wrote a nice letter to him. And I agree with you about if it were not for Blu and their advertising, a lot of people would not have heard of ecigs.

But I would not want to deal with a company that has so much issues with shipping, communiction problems etc. Let alone a company that just cause I write him a nice letter he sends yours out before others. I think that is just another example of how blu sucks. What kind of business do they run?

But I do hope the blu cigarette works out for you. It seems only fitting that a person gets what they pay for in this day and age. But their are a lot of suppliers (US) that do answer emails, rather they are angry or polite. And ship promptly, and are reasonably priced.

... I just checked back to this thread and i can believe this! The same drama is still on... Anyone who sees a 29 page thread dedicated to simply waiting on a product should be EXTREMELY gun-shy about purchasing that product. I totally forgot about BLU since i canceled my order and got an Intellicig EVO and 510 from IV over a month ago. Forgive me for saying this, but I have to.

The BLU IS NOT GOING TO BE THAT MUCH BETTER OR WORSE than many of the products still out there, including the Intellicig, and certainly NOT WORTH WAITING A MONTH FOR.

I know unwanted advice is criticism, but i am glad i took some of that criticism and listened to some more experienced folks here... So, let me target this post. From noob to noobs ~ Do yourself a favor! Just go order something else tomorrow and start enjoying it this weekend. Stop smoking analogs waiting in anticipation when you could already be vaping something comparable or even better. If you still want the BLU in a couple months, it will still be there (if the company still is)... Then, we can let this ridiculously repetitious thread die.

I read over all these posts and still wonder why everyone is so bent on waiting for this average product. For what? Honestly. What makes BLU worth the wait vs. something else? Are we as a society that susceptible to mass advertising? I know BLU marketing may have been the thing that got your attention, but that is no reason to be loyal. Look at it this way. BLU got your attention, their terrible delivery times got you here, and now you get to learn all this stuff that you wouldn't have known if you didn't have to wait, and, instead of using time and knowledge to your advantage, you end up waiting anyway?

REALLY???

i would love to know what you guys are thinking. Personally, i am pleased enough with other products that I wont even be buying the BLU, especially since they are still forcing you guys to wait like this. I am really glad now that I put my money somewhere else. Just my 2 cents. Would love to hear yours too...

I totally agree with you 100%. Who would want to order from a company like that. Average time from I am reading is at least a month for it being shipped. Poor customer service. Why not say on the website they are logged or backordered?

There is too many other companies out there that do, answer emails, Ship promtly, Some are even free shipping. Better quality, Offer warrenties, and over all are a better ecig then blu, And as far as one person saying to please quit knocking blue,

This is a forum for good and bad reviews. This lets other people who are considering ordering a blu, what their expereince was with that company, rather it be bad or good. Most of what I read are bad, bad, bad It is a shame that a company would do this to their customes. You would think that with all the competition out their for ecigs. They would step up to the plate.

And speaking of this forum on blu cigaretters. How come they dont have their site listed below the forum for their link? Whats up with that. It seems that blu is getting free advertising on their products, and they cant even have a link here, let alone getting on this forum like other sellers. I am so glad I never ordered a blu. Sounds pretty sucky to have bad products, bad customer service, slow then molasses shippping,, but if you are nice to the president and contact him, he bumps your order ahead of others. Bad business practicires also.

Just to clarify: THEY DO. Did you not even check before posting this? On the home page, on the order page, pretty much everywhere, there's a huge banner stating clearly that they are backlogged and it "may take between 4-6 weeks for orders to be shipped." So at least they learned enough of a lesson to inform potential customers about a potential delay. (This is not new-- that warning has been there since they resumed taking orders several weeks ago.) People who don't want to chance waiting that long simply don't need to order.

That said, several people posting here have ordered starter kits in the past couple of weeks and gotten them in just a few days. My last two orders to blu were both placed this month, and both arrived in less than a week. So it appears that at this point in time, they're underpromising and overdelivering (probably because they got burned so badly in their first shipping crunch).

Wow, that's some serious unintentional irony in your mention of canceling your blu order and ordering from InnoVapor instead. Are you not aware of the 52-page thread in the InnoVapor section called "InnoVapor Order And Shipping concerns"? (Yes, 52 pages. Makes 29--well, now 31-- seem almost tame, doesn't it?) They may not have lead times of 4-6 weeks like blu does (or did), but this I can state as a fact: a while ago, I ordered blu parts and InnoVapor gear a mere six hours apart. The blu order arrived last Monday. The InnoVapor order still hasn't shipped, awaiting stock of merchandise they didn't realize they were out of until almost a week after I placed my order.

Don't get me wrong-- I actually really like InnoVapor and the people there (Mark and Millie have been especially helpful), and I haven't complained to them about my order still remaining unfilled, despite the fact that they have serious problems with their order fulfillment process (web site shows all orders as "processing" whether or not they've shipped, tracking numbers only given out on request, tracking numbers generated when they don't have the product in stock to ship, etc.) that I really hope they address. At the same time, I'm no particular fan of blu as a company-- though I'm sure I'll be accused of such-- simply because I've never tried to contact them or needed to, so I have no opinion of their customer service practices.

Just pointing out some facts, because the raging anti-blu sentiment here in a blu forum from people who aren't blu users strikes me as knee-jerk blu-bashing. Maybe that was once called for, but so far, my every experience with blu, starting with my first order (placed 6/19, shipped 7/9) has been as good or better than expected. My experience with InnoVapor has been far below what I expect from any company I choose to order from, but their saving grace is that they're good people and I know they're trying hard.

I find it odd that some of the same people who pre-order new products and wait over a month to get them also constantly write horrible things about Blu. I do not have one, have not ordered one, and have no interest in ordering at this moment. However, I do not understand why it is acceptable to wait for a product not yet on the market but not acceptable to wait for this one. Some people love Blu for its style. That should be enough. Different strokes and all that

I too got mine within a few days. Ordered mine Saturday, got it Wednesday (third business day)! Don't let their backlog-warning banners on their web site scare you. It's probably to protect themselves and save their rep. They definitely have their ducks in a row now. Also got an extra atomizer (don't know if it was an accident?). Anyway, no six week waiting time here! Of course, YMMV?

I think it's all just a clever marketing strategy.....what better way to get people interested in buying a product than make it seem like you are overwhelmed with orders and can't keep up with the demand for it.

Well, this might be a good strategy for selling most products, but probably not for e-cigs, since the longer people think they'll need to wait, the more money they know they'll need to spend on analogs in the meantime. I doubt anyone's going to think the blu is so much better than the competition that they'll be willing to shell out the cash for up to six weeks' worth of analogs for the wait. For a half-a-pack-a-day smoker that's, what, about $200? You'd think most people would buy elsewhere.

I suspect it's more that blu's rep got so savaged by the delays that they're underpromising and overdelivering. Maybe certain parts remain in short supply, but others are plentiful. Maybe there's still a lot of uncertainty about their supply chain, with shipments sometimes getting seized at the border, sometimes not. Or actually, maybe they just haven't gotten around to taking the delay warning off the web site yet.

Actually, scratch that-- I just checked, and they HAVE taken the delay warning down. ;)
