mine's already the next town over (the major post office in the area) that's some fast shipping. (^_^) I might even have it tomorrow!

I ordered the black starter with full strength variety pack.

I don't think blu is the best for everyone, but shipping problems aside i think it seems like a great product for the price. can't wait to try it out!

Just in case anyone didnt see the info the FDA posted

Electronic Cigarettes

not sure what type of response to expect, but i sent jason an email inquiring about his thoughts on the matter.

His response:

blu electronic cigarettes meet the highest safety testing standards pertaining to toxicity and contamination, according to Jason Healy, president of blu cigs, the manufacturer of the popular alternative to standard cigarettes. The company issued the following statement in response to a report that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had discovered carcinogenic ingredients in two unrelated brands of electronic cigarettes:

“Several media reports on a recent evaluation by the FDA of two brands of electronic cigarettes are inaccurate and misleading, leading some to the conclusion that all e-cigarettes have the same flaws. In fact the two brands studied by the FDA have nothing in common with blu by way of manufacturers of their liquid or individual components.

“While blu was not tested by the FDA, the components and ingredients of the blu system have been tested by independent and respected agencies. According to a certified report from SGS, the world's largest control and inspection company, the contents and vapor producing components of blu cigs are in accordance with European Union regulations and the product has received an approved Material Safety Data Sheet. In addition, the Yunnan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the regulatory health agency for the region where the cigarettes are made, conducted comprehensive tests on the blu electronic atomized cigarette fluid and found no toxicity.

“In response to media reports about the FDA concern about the trace amount of nicotine found in a non-nicotine cartridge from one manufacturer, blu cigs noted that separate equipment is used in the blu factory to fill the nicotine and non-nicotine cartridges. The entire production line where the cartridges are filled is in a sealed air-conditioned chamber with strict admission and procedure protocol.

Mine is lost... Not any fault of Blu (I don't think).
Stupid Post Office... since when is San Jose, CA a stop between NC and IL?

Looks like we will not get it before hubby leaves on his vacation Monday.

It is very frustrating, have waited forever for this thing, and now the post office loses it...maybe we are not supposed to have Blu.

Exactly what I ordered. I figured that his response wasn't completely accurate. Wow, if the owner isn't truthful with it's customers... I'm giving them until monday, if no order change, I'm canceling, this is so frustrating it's almost comical.

Hey jen, from what I've witnessed, forget about dealing with CS and send the boss an email (jason@blucigs.com) he replied to me in about 5 minutes

Same. Customer service won't reply. Jason's on the ball. Or there really is no customer service and it's just Jason, but he's helped me so far and I appreciate his help, so.....I didn't just say that.

I'm just making a point. Their people need to reply to the emails. It's not that hard. It's a part of doing business. If they refuse to reply, then don't offer that as a contact route on the website.

I have received defective parts once and they replaced them quickly. I've also learned through use on how to better use the device and extend the life of parts, so give it a chance. It's my favorite ecig yet.

The person that flat out got a broken order (nothing worked), that sucks and I think they just need to send you a new replacement kit. Bad piece of the batch I guess.

I'll say from experience that while the Blu carts work awesomely with the device, I agree that the # of puffs is limited but refilling the carts is reasonable. I've tried Johnson Creek and Totally Wicked. The TC juice basically is too thick or something for the device and I had to clean the atty daily, but JC will last a week between cleanings with no issue and handles the Blu well.

If you notice degraded performance with the Blu atty after a little bit of time, try unscrewing the battery from the atomizer (with the cart still attached to the atomizer) and blow reasonably hard through the cart (pushing excess liquid out of the atty). The atty floods sometimes and this will make it work like new almost instantly.

You might want to cover the atomizer end with a tissue to soak up what you're blowing out. Don't overfill your carts and you'll last longer between needing to "de-flood" the atomizer.

Also, I've found that taking out their filler and replacing it with a custom-cut length of polyfill works amazingly for this device. It allows the juice to reach the atomizer wick much easier, allowing for prolonged use between cart refills.

I hope this helps Blu buyers that are just starting out. I've become sort of an afficionado with Blu :)

Actually, battery life hasn't really been an issue. Two batteries fully used will last a full long day into the night, but I would be lying if I said I didn't use the charging pack in-between "just in case". I also carry my USB charger with me as a precaution as well.

I gotta say. The battery life on my M401 (even with with the M402 battery on) is amazing. One battery lasts most of the day. Two last more than a day. Not bad. Blu should offer a slightly larger battery as an option for aftermarket purchase to Blu owners.

I have already expressed passthrough USB wants to Jason and I have been told that this is not likely to happen. Nor is a non-charging slimmer case for those that don't need to constantly charge. The pack looks huge when it's in my pocket and I wanted something slimmer in size.

I e-mailed him and as soon as I did he shipped it off. It shipped monday and arrived wednesday. Pretty fast shipping. I love the product btw.

Yeah. Blu has the best draw of anything I've tried to date. Work out the kinks and it's the best out there IMHO. It has its drawbacks just like all devices, but I think this one's my favorite since it's easier to huff on. I have to suck hard on my M401.

After waiting, one of the batteries doesn't work. The vapor production is nowhere near that of my Joye510 and is completely inconsistent. The ONLY good thing I have to say about it is the Packaging was pretty. Other then that is is worthless!!!!!!!!!!!!! My advice to anyone still pending shipment, CANCEL. Anyone who has received, send it back for a full refund and get a 510 ot a 901. I've already sent my email to Jason for a refund.

I ordered the starter kit on June 11... and got it yesterday (July 24), just a little over the two week waiting period </sarcasm>. And I like it, the packaging is nice, the size is nice; I got high nicotine content cartridges (which by the way makes me question the high content e-juice I purchased from Ruyandirect.com which feels so much weaker than my blu cigs). But the waiting time is not so good. I don't know if I want to wait 1 1/2 months for any product.
