52 days since i took my 60 bucks for a carton of smokes into my local B+M instead, got a vision spinner and a mt3s and some juice.

haven't smoked one cigarette since finishing my pack that night.
it doesn't feel like its almost been 2 months it feels like 2 weeks tops. but the 780 cigarettes avoided is the really shocking number to me. its crazy how fast it adds up and a simple counter to get it thru my thick skull.

(i cant wrap my mind around how a time period that feels like 2 weeks in hindsight i would've smoked 4 cartons of cigs! that sounds crazy looking back.)

since then ive bought a spare set-up, a mini protank II, and have a few things on order (squape clone, igo-w, bunch of wire and wick)
and shopping for a mech mod. I know i got the bug bad when i didnt even think about cigs for a week. i should've known that i'd obsess over "paraphernalia" i do with my other "habits" too. still looking to get an atty for that too ;) then ill have it covered. (hopefully)

my stepfather got a joyetech passthru and an evod after seeing my success and has been happily vaping for a week. he would smoke 2 or 3 black and milds a day, or sometimes not a one. he happily started vaping at 8mg. im so jealous of that. he got a 1000mah passthru cause most of his smoking is in one seat so he can charge if need be, but still take it on the go all day when needed.

i feel like vaping is such a pay it forward activity, i almost feel obligated to take on people interested in vaping and help them understand it the best that i can. i feel like if i wasn't here my stepfather might try vaping, get frustrated at something and give up, when it could've been something so small and simple. i feel like if it was my mom who was the smoker i'd have a hard time explaining to her, (like i do with cable tv, remotes, and dvd players) and she'd give up too.

My last cigarette was on Monday, January 20th of this year. I've not been tempted, even once, to smoke. I must admit that quitting is easy for me. I get very few cravings and find the actual quit to be a breeze. It's the staying quit that trips me up. I've quit several times, once for almost a year, but sometime down the road stress gets to me and I buy a pack of smokes. It might be 5 months into the quit or 11 months and 23 days but it happens and when it does I'm off and running.

My hope is that having something like vaping to fall back on will prevent that this time. I don't know that I'll vape forever. I might stop in a few weeks but oh man, I love it so much I might just keep doing it, even when I reach 0 nic. :)
