I think it becomes a bit more of a question of "how much is too much" for you. Some folks go through a lot of liquid with lower nicotine, while others vape less, but at much higher strength. IF you feel you are going through too much, could raise your nicotine level a hair, and it might be helpful. As long are you aren't getting nicotine sick, though, I'm not sure there is a "too much" although I do prefer to vape less eliquid total per day, while having a high nicotine level. I don't much enjoy sub0hming. The quantities you see will really differ for everyone. I also doubt that I vape the exact same amount of e-liquid every day, either, depending on how much I need to do and etc.

When I first got a crown tank with the .5 coil I was vaping 32mg juice. I was coming from the protank and 1.8-2.4 coils using a Sigelei zmax at 8-10 watts. Within the first few minutes I realized this wasn’t going to work. So for me too much is 32mg’s. Now I lowered it to around 20mg’s which is perfect. I only have to hit it every once in awhile and if I need a pick me up I take a few long deep pulls and viola, it picks me up

I vape about two 4.5ml tanks a day. I'm vaping 9mg juice during the day and switching to 3mg juice after supper. Increasing nic from 3mg to 9mg definitely slows the number of hits.

If my lungs begin to feel the irritating effects of vaping too much I just stop inhaling and use the "hold it in your mouth and exhale through the nose" method. That seems to only happen in the Winter when the heat's running too often.

OMG, I've read through this entire thread
And maybee I am the one with the problem....
Just checked my puff counter.... 560 puffs in little less then a day.
And I use about 30 to 40 ml's of liquid per day @ 1.7 mg nic

Quitted smoking on november 10th 2017 after 35 years from which the last 25 years about 50 cigs a day.

But heck I feel a lot better then when I smoked... Got a lot more air, more smell and taste,
and I walk a lot more with the dog.

At that low a nic level your fine. If you are comfortable don't change anything. If you want to vape less go up in nic to 3-4mg.

At this type of ml's per day, I would be a little concerned about the amount of Flavorings/Sweeteners I was putting in my lungs. If that 30 ~ 40ml's was Flavored e-liquids.

lol I have 102 puffs just this past hour alone. High VG juice can cause that heavy feeling in the lungs. When vaping sub-ohm and especially higher VG juice I find that inhaling straight to lung to be the best way and doesn't cause coughing.

I vape around 10mL a day and now that I am using an 8mL tank I am doing 16mL a day easily. I honestly do not think it matters. My juice is usually 50/50 (PG/VG) which I find doesn't give me that heavy lung feeling. Honestly the best juices I have had from shops are all more like 30/70 (PG/VG). I cannot buy those juices in a 50/50 mix which lead me to making my own juice and trying to clone the flavors I like.

Yeah I'm Great  But what you suggest, i've tried for a couple of hours with that same thought to maybee vape less, but instead of vaping less, I was just in a constant headrush and kept vaping, hence the 1.7 mg.

Yeah they are flavoured, not to sweet, because I mix all my e-liquids myself and use aroma's but no extra sweeteners

It's getting so that I almost can't use 6mg juice anymore. I started stepping down to 3mg blends last month. When I take a big ol' hit from a tank or dripper that's rocking 6mg, I will cough and put it down.

I've gone from 24 to 18, then to 12, then 9 and 6. Now 3. This in the span of about 10 months. If you told me last April that I'd be lung hitting 3mg juice and loving it in less than a year, I'd have reported you to the authorities.

If you start to notice the little, annoying but manageable health issues, then you're probably vaping too much, clearing your throat all the time, hacking cough, inability of your tear glands to function properly, loss of energy, laziness, muscle fatigue etc. it's probably time to cut down.

I recently severely cut down on my vaping for the first time in 8 years, started by quitting for a bit to see if these health issues were in fact caused by vaping (they were), and before I started up again I made a few rules for myself, like not doing it around other people, not doing it indoors etc. I also measure out my weekly diy into 7 bottles of 5mg each, if I use up what's in the bottle, that's it for that day, but I rarely go through the whole bottle. not doing it inside helps, especially when it's cold out, I'll take like one hit & then I'm like screw this I'm going back in lol.

HI Wu-Tangcl, Congratulations on changing over to Vaping! KEEP up the good work.

I did smoke for over 40 years but only a pack a day. I started vaping with my nic level high way high! It seemed like it took at least 6 months before I felt like weaning myself down but I did when I was ready.

You've only been at this a few months in time when you're ready you'll cut back, until then as long as you're not smoking it is a WIN-WIN!!!!

Thank you so much for the motivation, still got some days here where it gets hard on staying of them Cigs...
But all the flavour and the nice lines from everyone keeps me motivated.

And if I really need a Cig, then I'll just force a good dry hit, remembers me also why I stopped smoking :w00t:

When it gets bad hold a dirty ashtray RIGHT in your nose and remind yourself Vaping tastes so much better than that!
It is so much healther for you and one day turns into two and in no time at all .. all of a sudden it's a year.
Good Luck you can do it!!

I have an istick pico and use an eleaf tank with replaceable coil cartridges. So I don't have massive vape clouds but it is pretty good.

The "when I'm awake, I vape" adage seems to apply to me lately. I have a counter on my pico (thanks to using the Arctic Fox firmware). I hit my vape between 250 and 300 times a day. I go through about 4-5ml of 9mg juice.

Is this too much? Should I cut down? I've been coughing lately, not a dry hack but still I never used to have a cough.

Thoughts? Comparisons?
I go thru 30ml in a day sometimes but average about 15ml of .5mg nic. It’s subjective
