How old are you and how long did you smoke

40 years old
23 years inhaling smoke.
I grew up in a smoke filled home. Almost everyone smoked around me growing up.
At 17, weekend parties meant drinking and smoking. This quickly advanced since I could smoke at home, and at friend's homes. So I did.
I did quit, both times I was pregnant, and didn't start again until after weaning my babies.
The Siren call of cigarettes came back both times.
Finally, I decided if I could quit for my children while they were dependent on me physically, then I should quit because they are dependent on me mentally. Also, I wanted to break the cycle: I didn't want them to have any form of a relationship with cigarettes through me.
June 17, 2013 was my first day of vaping and freedom. Over a month ago it's been. I haven't kept track of the days: that relationship is over, and I just haven't looked back.
(Actually, twice I've gone to the banner that tells me how much money saved and cigs I've avoided. Cool to see those numbers)
Edit: I used to smoke 30-40 cigarettes a day. Now, it's zero.

It looks like SO MANY of us started smoking when we were about 15ish. Wonder how many vapers started when they were 15? ANother point for e-cigs over analogs.

A hell of a lot people start vaping at 15/16. It's pretty close to harmless and with most never picking up the trend of smoking analogs I think it is a great thing.
