50yr old male and i started smoking at about 12 but wasn't a daily smoker until about 14. At 15 i was smoking a pack a day and it only got worse from there. I moved on to little cigars that made a Camel non filter seem weak. Plus the occasional Sobranie Black Russians back in the 1980s ....man those were a tasty smoke compared to a Marlboro.

IMO, if i can do it and BE HAPPY....anyone can do it with some effort.

tomorrow will mark 32 years from the first cigarette on 'smokers corner'
I tried e cigs when they first came out but couldn't stand them...
I was given an ecig back in June that I was satisfied with...
Smoked my last analog July 7, 2013 at 5:30pm after my great nephew begged me to stop with tears in his eyes, at 5:35 I joyfully watched him and my nephew totally annihilate the rest of the pack while enjoying my brand new Ego T and have been analog free since!

32 years old. started smoking at age 17, quit at age 29. so i smoked 12 years. i had played around with ecigs before i fully quit but i finally commited to quitting at 29. i have a 2 year old son and i dont want him to know his dad as a smoker. it is unacceptable behavior and one that i DO NOT want him around or thinking that it's OK to smoke. it is not OK

my wife is 31 and she stated smoking at age 14 (i know thats awefully young). she had an even tougher time getting off of cigarettes and accepting vaping. her family history is full of people that smoked or currently smoked and COPD also runs in her family. she finally fully quit 2 years ago. i probably wasnt very nice to her when she continued to smoke, i wanted those things out of my life, out of my reach, and away from my son. she also smoked when she was pregnant for which i was really quite angry at her for doing that. she's has been fully off of cigarettes for 2 full years now and i am very proud of her. her smoker cough is GONE, she was 29 years old when she was last smoking and already had developed a pretty noticable smokers cough. was does that tell you, 29 is quite young. the fact that it sudden disappeared also tells us that it is not possible for vaping to be anything like the risks associated with smoking.

we are both vaping success stories as we were both very much addicted to cigarettes and it was probably killing both of us. no longer do our cars, clothes, or home reek of smoke. our child does not have to grow up with smoking parents.

my sister in-law on the other hand continues to smoke and continues to smoke in her trailer with her kids. the trailer is small as most are and at times there are 4 people smoking in that trailer. it reeks of smoke, its filthy and downright nasty. she has two young girls one of whom already has asthma at age of 6. gee i wonder if her asthma has anything to do with cigarettes. even though she's been on and off of foodstamps and wellfare she still manages to get cigarettes. i guess cigarettes really are that important to people. she constantly picks on my wife for vaping, like "oh THAT thing AGAIN". my wife blows her off, my wife has ZERO interest in ever picking up another cancer stick ever again. vaping is a wonderful invention, she's not going to die from smoking. im thrilled
