They're not really designed to quit smoking, though some have found that vaping can help you to quite. It just depends on your per day quota

. I was never more than a pack a day myself and often, a half-pack was about all I went through unless I was off work, bored and just wanted to an excuse to do what I felt was more productive.
I didn't use a patch or anything. I smoked Camel Lights, so I started with 12 mg and have been using it since I started vaping a few years back. I tried the Blu's, but they failed due to flavor and longevity, fast-forward, I got an eGo-T battery with the TS3 tank and haven't looked back since. The Blu's made me go on an off, but never used the patch or gum.
I am about to turn 28, and smoked since I was about 14. I have had my e-cig since Feb or so, but did not commit to it until August. At about 6 weeks now.
Did anyone try quitting methods before the e-cig? Was vaping an effort to quit smoking or just an alternative?
