On June 26th it will be 6 months!!!!! I still can't believe it.

I have a very addictive personality. I was an alcoholic in my 20's and after 2 treatment programs was able to quit that (25 years sober last January). But these cigarettes really had me. I tried everything that came on the market. The patches I got I even had to have a doctors prescription to buy they were so new. Nothing ever worked for very long. Someone told me once that winners are losers who keep on trying, so I never stop trying to quit. My purchase of the e-cigarette was just one more attempt, in my heart of hearts I never expected it to work. Imagine my surprise! Great thread!

Congrats on the booze, from one ex-drunk to another! Coming up on my 20th year next March!

Glad I got my 510 Joye setup, as I am vaping regularly, and had a "test" smoke Friday that tasted like an ash tray. I know that method doesn't work for everyone, but it did great for me! to everyone that is making the switch to a less deadly alternative!!!

(me & a neighbor girl used to puff on her dad's half smoked butts - gross, I know) I started actually smoking the summer before freshman year - I was 13. I quit several times - 1yr each time I got pregnant - but always ended up back smoking. I haven't completely quit yet, but I'm down to only a couple a day.

Only used ultralights whenever I got a cold due to 1-3 months of bronchitis. Would get asthma flare ups during bronchitis or around allergies.

I've quit 3 times. 2 times using the patch, at 3 months. Once at cold turkey for a full year!

Currently vaping now, allergies do not cause asthma anymore, haven't got a cold yet so unable to tell if I'll get bronchitis or not.
