There's been lots of talk on ECF and on the web about this. But, how bad can it really be for us vapors? People who already have mods and do their own rebuiulding and DIY juice I would say are in better shape than most. Things like kanthal should still be sold, since it is designed for other things and wasn't designed for building coils to vape on, cotton balls aren't getting banned, food flavoring or vegetable glycerin or propolyne glycol would still be available and batteries like 18650s were designed for other uses not with vaping in mind except a for few brands.

The only problem would be if liquid nicotine becomes banned. How could we get around? Would disolving a nicotine lozenge work for making e liquid?

It will never be banned. To much money to be made for government pension plans. I believe the ruckus is to keep people from buying till they can tax the heck out of them like cigarettes. I am good for a couple years anyways and if things get to expensive it will hit the underground. I have lots of time to dig a tunnel if that happens. LOL

If you have room for a flower pot you can grow tobacco. If you have a coat hanger you can dry it. From there you can extract all the nicotine you can stand. And as you said the other needed materials are of use elsewhere and should be available.
A little before my time, but when the government outlawed liquor people made it themselves or got it from Al Capone. Although vaping requires more technology and peripherals than making alcohol, if there's a will there's a way...
Don't know about dissolving a nicotine lozenge, but it sounds like an expensive proposition.

How would you test the final strength? or just wing it and hope for the best?

Seems like a rather backward step from the USP nic i currently use (and stockpile) no?

More to the point, what about all the people that currently smoke that decide to give e-cigs a chance? 'Get this great lozenge kit'!

It really wouldn't be ideal or cost effective especially for high nic users and heavy vapers, I'd say they would have to put a certain amount of lozenges for each ml of juice made. Really not a kit just buying ingredients at the typical store or online website that's unrelated to vaping.

When I said dissolve lozenges as a worst case scenario, hopefully won't have to attempt to do this but this is what I meant as a desperate resort.

Didja ever read the list of ingredients in those lozenges? Do you want to even try vaping all that crap? (The answer would be: no.)

Just did now, since it just popped in my head as an idea to get around nicotine if it was banned, but doesn't seem like anything most people would vape.

That's what I been thinking for awhile especially in the US an living in California, since California has a tax added on cigarettes ontop of sales tax and a lot of extra California BS fees.

I followed that link with my zipcode: 3 of the stores were out of stock and none listed pricing.

That's kind of funny....if we ended up having illegal street liquid nicotine dealers

HAH well out here in California and a few other states, there are still federally illegal substances I can drive 5 minutes from my house and buy at a dispensary with a doctors recommendation.. Maybe states will start doing the same thing they did with that.. Although you can bet the big tobacco states like Virginia will do their part to stop it..
