Ok, so I made one!
Since I had the opportunity to try a Micro-Gen, and Loved It, I decided it was time to do the build. I ended up getting pretty much all the wrong parts, and/or not all the parts. So this is a total hack job. To boot, it is as ugly as sin! I thought I'd post what I did with the different parts to offer more ideas on building. These methods/parts AREN'T better. They're "alternative". Also, what I did accomplish successfully, was performance and flavor. Ugly as this version may be, it hits hard and tastes GREAT.
Part 1: wrong adapter and wrong screw.

This adapter had a tube up the middle, so I drilled that to a larger int. diam. My screw was too big (3-56). I used my nuts (not my nuts) as a stop and filed down the end length of the screw to fit the tube, cut off the screw head, and soldered.
Part 2: No IC header pin (or whatever its called), I tried a few things, and ended up walking to my disc sander with a brass wood screw grasped in my needlenose pliers.
