That’s the beauty, different strokes for different folks. Love hearing/sharing ideas & techniques.

What coils & i.d. & what ohms are your coils?

For Hussar I use 2.5mm ID SS 26 gauge @10 wraps what gives around 0.7 ohm and I vape in TC @ 400-425F

LOL. Happens to us all at some point. The one thing I would really change about the Project X is that stupid orange line on the PEI tank. I've lost track of how many times I vaped it thinking there was juice left. I only use it in Temp Control now because I don't trust myself. :D

I agree on both points...I forgot to turn JFC not only on Hussar but Reaper as well... and second point you mentioned was decisive factor why I bought extension for Hussar...orange line is still there but it is not confusing me anymore and I can vape much longer without refilling.

I'm still finding it really miserly with juice, even in 2ml mode, are you guys?

:w00t::sneaky:;) Dry hit without any leak......nah... I bet you forgot turn JFC...

It was leaking too  and I probably forgot the jfc as well ;)

That line annoys me too, I turn mine on the side every time I wanna check - but I'm also in TC mode ;)

Yes it is a bit better with the extension but I find the PEI on my extension tank feels really thin and quite fragile. The standard 2ml PEI seems sturdier. Maybe I got a dud. With the Reaper I seem to naturally open the JFC when it's screwed onto my device. My problem is if I decide to run thinner juice and close the JFC a bit rather than adjusting it on the deck I will often end up lining that notch up with the "V" in the logo and loosen the deck. To be honest I still like the standard Hussar too, holds more juice, no silly orange line and I can vape it as true MTL with the smallest airflow pin. Only downside is flavour is not as saturated as the Project X.

I typically hate 2ml capacity tanks mainly because it was pure nonsense introduced by the EU and also because I hate constantly refilling. But the Project X didn't seem that bad to me to begin with using a 1.0 coil, especially when you consider the airflow on the widest setting. But I found to really make the X shine you have to go with a 0.5 to 0.8 ohm coil and that can be a juice guzzler. Reaper V3 is really no better in that regard once you build under 1.0 ohm, but I have the MTL version so it's ever so slightly more conservative than the DTL one.

And yes I got into the habit of tilting the Project X every so often too before I switched to TC.

You know you have problems when you quote yourself

I forgot that I was going to try the Evl Reaper RTA also - @Janusz what's the vape like compared to the Project X and the Doggy RTA?

FT response to my inquiry about how long will my packages be delayed.

“Because of backlog please give it 1-2 more weeks”

Eek! My accessories package has been traveling for 18 days. I paid a little extra for USPS Epacket which usually takes 7-14 days.

I for one will not be ordering anymore from FT until they ship out from Beijing :grr:

    I received my Project X today!!! :w00t:

Been messing about with it this afternoon. Got her cleaned and ready to roll.

I popped in a 0.5 ohm 3mm ID 24g kanthal coil just as Todd has in his video. I decided to test it without trimming any of my wick.

Running at 22-30 watts and she vapes very nicely indeed. Settling in at 26w.

Vaping my 50/50 butterscotch cream DIY and it is very niiiiiiiice and flavorful (or as you other folks write "flavourful"). ;)

I am on my second tank with zero issues. After the first tank I popped the cap off to have a look at my wicking and there are no round hole imprints on my wick. Again, I set this up identical to Todd's video. My take is if you setup the wicking as he has you won't have any issues at all.

I've mucked about with all three air holes wide open down to one each side. I am able to get great MTL hits with the single air holes. Very nice RDL with the single air holes, as well as, DL with all three open. Very nice RDL vape.

Very simple to setup. If you can setup an RDA you are all set with this (very similar). Super easy.

I like! :thumb: Now I will buy the tank extension (or two) with my next FT order.

@Heartsdelight mine continued showing it was "over there", even yesterday, until I saw it was coming today. I don't think they stay on top of keeping shipping status up to date. As I recall we ordered ours on the same day so I would think you should be getting yours in the next day or so.

I am assuming their customs/security opened my package. I can clearly see where they opened it. They sure didn't cheat on resealing with tape. Mine only took 14 days to get here which isn't bad for FT or the so-called security checks they are doing.

EDIT: In Todd's video he used TOO much wick IMO and kind of jammed it in there. I ended up trimming just enough to hit the bottom of the juice wells.

I can easily mtl with all 3 holes open, @Opinionated vapes the same as me and @NolaMel except she RDLs ;)

I do like how you can just pop off the tank to peep at the wicking, it's designed so much like an RDA :thumb:

I'm on my third tank. You know how it goes when you get a new atty. Feel like a kid all over again. You gotta put it through its paces right?

MTL'ing right now with all 3 holes wide open. Nice. I am getting used to and enjoying an airier draw.
It really was a breeze to setup. As quick as any RDA. The deck is very much RDA style IMO.

I like the trend in smaller RTA's and do find they are getting much closer to an RDA flavor wise.

Good thing I am vaping zero nic or I would be climbing my walls about now with nic buzz.
A Cirque du Soleil performer I am not. I would quickly have broken body parts, visiting paramedics and a hospital stay. It's bad enough my German Shepherd is squarely on my lap atm due to all the fireworks/firecrackers going off around my home.

Get those ladies to hop on the Project X train over here Ange!!! ;) I say the more the merrier.
