Very cool! Yeah, I AM excited about the tips. Just haven't had any on my list since the past summer and you'll be proud.... I broke another one the other day the same way (out of the dreaded pocket), so the replacements will be well taken care of.
Maybe I should start thinkin' about a lanyard patent for drip tips:facepalm:

I guess being female, so not tending to have very good shirt pockets to keep things in, is not such a bad thing after all. Instead of having things fall out of a pocket, I tend to brush up against corners and break glass drip-tips since I always have my mod in my hand. So, I simply no longer buy glass or ceramic tips anymore. It's a shame because I really like them. But, that's life.

Which drip-tips are you waiting for?

Well #1 is out of action for surgery. :(
Guess the last time I dropped it, it split the insulator for the + center pin. Off and on I would get 0.0Ω reading, short. Lucky I ordered a 50 pack of them from FT a while ago. Was a pain to get the new one in but I got it. But looking at the wire, I think I am going to unsolder the + pin and re-solder it, just to be sure it is right. But it will be later this week before I can dig out the soldering stuff, so using #2 at the moment. BTW the wire pulls out over an inch, if yours ever needs a new insulator ring.

Good to know. Which insulators did you get from FT that fit the Hybris, just in case?

$2.25 Rubber Insulation Rings for eGo Batteries (50-Pack) 50-pack - grey
A PITA to get in the hole, but seem to be right for the Hybris. Don't know for sure as I haven't pushed the wire back down yet, I want to re-solder it first.
OK. Moved from my Main Wish List to my Burnie Wish List. Let me know how they work. Of course, I may not have the patience to actually USE them. We'll see.

I finally built the coils in my Lancia, finally. I went ahead and used the pre-made coils you sent me. It was unbelievably frustrating to get them both in the center post at the same time before tightening it. But, after putting it down a few times, I finally did it.

I really need to get out my lighted magnifier to do this stuff. But, it's just so crowded here. There's no place to set anything up. I do everything sitting on my bed with my readers and a dim lamp. I can't leave ANYTHING sitting out except for my alarm clock unless I'm actually here to protect it from the grandkids. I share a bedroom with the 2 youngest at the moment. So, I'm constantly shuffling around containers of stuff in and out of the closet.

But, excuses aside, I did it! I've been using my Lancia for the last couple of hours. It works great!

Since I'm using it as a dual-coil, I have my voltage turned down to 3.3. So, the dual-coil set up may just work fine for me. Although, next time I was thinking of trying to make the 2 coils out of one continuous piece of wire so that I only have to put one wire through the center post. But, that may be harder instead of easier. Not sure yet.

Since I've wrapped so few coils so far, each time is a new adventure for me.

Glad you got it coiled up OK and are liking it, just be careful not to over drip or it will leak. I just use mine if I want to vape a different juice for just a little while and not use a tank. Good for testing juices also, vape, rinse, dry burn, repeat. I haven't tried dual in mine, just a single.

I'm sure the insulator will work, but will post after #1 is back up and running.

You can still buy them because the ones I broke were acrylic, plastic, etc.. It doesn't matter. If you drop it and it hits the floor, they snap at the base (right above the rubber o-ring. It seems that when a lot of these tips are made, the weakest point is above the o-ring. Makes me want to think that they were molded in 2 parts and the base was similar to a 'cold weld' (as in glued). Maybe I'm wrong, but every time I broke one, it cracked off at the same spot (right above the o-ring. Maybe it is just a very weak point on the tips. Here's some pics of the tips and tip stand I've been waiting on, since the 10th of this month. As of today, they still didn't make it to New York. :(
Acrylic, Plastic and ceramic tips. I broke a couple of these swirls so I figured I'd get the whole set since the price was right. Originally I think I paid like 3 or 4 dollars a piece. The whole set was 3.27.

I am opposite of you, I like the SS, seem to get too much condensation in the plastic.

Congrats on the 1000 :)
Took me about 4 years to hit my first 1000, but I don't live on the board.
Believe it or not, jj2 has "Posts 192,013", gives you something to shoot for.
 That is hilarious. I think she is a record breaker!

I just hit the button again on another iStick 20w.

I can't get used to the SS. The condensation is hiding in there somewhere though.

Well #1 is back up and running. Couldn't find my soldering gun, just a wimpy soldering iron, so I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a new gun for $16. When I got home took 5 minutes to re-solder the + connection. Let it set for a few to cool, then back together, looks like new again. Popped in a battery, put on my tank, and am vaping away on it now. :D

Hey guys.. anyone have or know where to get the specs on this mod. like the diameter and length etc.. so far i found out it can fire at ohms of 1 to 3... and goes up to six volts.. and also can replace the 14500 batteries.. sounds very cool for a small setup. my big fear with this mod being VV is the battery life.. it must be really really bad.. I know on my 18350 zmax mini.. the bat life kind of sucks.. and thats vaping only 9 or 10 watts. also anyone know the max wattage on this thing?

L 113mm W 16.5mm or there about. No Idea on max watts, but 14500 batteries are not high amp batteries. I go through 2 batteries a day normally, 3 tops, but I am a low watt vapor, higher ohms and lower volts, if you go lower ohms and higher volts your battery will go quicker. YMMV

Thanks man.. i guess its a little on the long side but not too long.. My mini nemesis is only like 75 mm long ... I got an istick coming.. Never liked non tube mods.. but its small.

Not that long, the nemesis does not have voltage control circuits, so it can be just a little longer than the battery. Didn't want an iStick, no buck circuit (can't reduce the voltage), plus no replaceable battery, and not really into box mods.

No Problem, we share anything, not just Hybris stuff. As I said in the first post
Any chit chat is welcome.

I have had some toppers I just couldn't get to give a good vape, happens to a lot of us. I sent a friend in the UK my Fogger V2, because no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work right. He had it up and running in no time, and loves it. All a matter of getting the right coil, wick, and mod combination to work for YOU. Hope you find something that will give you that. For me it is the Hybris and Sophia, but each person has to find what works for them.

I like the sophia better than most other stuff I have tried.. I ordered those wicks.. you recommended.. now that i have the istick i should have gotten a higher ohm wire.. oh well. its cheap can always try again another time.. i got the 1.5's 32 awg. Im using the sophia right now. i still like the sophia better than the sub tank. and i like the hit off the 306 more than the sophia.. im gonna trade in the sub tank for a nautilus mini. that one i remember was my favorite clearo.

Not sure what you mean about buck circuit and can't reduce the volts.. when you reduce the wattage it drops the volts.. I don't really get the difference.. isn't it the same ....? I could set a device on 4 volts at a certain resistance,, or i can set the wattage to equal it.. and it will fire at 4 volts.. maybe i am missing something.

Just poppin in to say HELLO! :toast: I've been pretty busy lately. I see we have a visitor. :)

Good to here from ya, hope your not working too hard. I was starting to get lonely in here.
Yep paladinx dropped by with a few questions. Seen in another thread and directed this way. Not sure if will get a Hybris, has been using a 14500 mech mod, but I answered questions (here and by PM) as best as I could.

Don't be such a stranger (you too DH :))

I didn't get another Hybris in the last sale because I had just blown all my money on a REO in the classies, a pretty red one. I couldn't help myself. I really, really couldn't afford it. But, I did it anyway!

I guess I was just feeling sorry for myself because I need to go to the doctor and have been putting it off. Nothing special wrong with me. Just a regular visit to get regular blood tests and renew prescriptions. But, I have issues with doctors.

I should have bought more cartos and batteries. But, I needed a new shiny to make me feel better.

And, I always have the vapocalypse excuse to fall back on.
