I didn't get another Hybris in the last sale because I had just blown all my money on a REO in the classies, a pretty red one. I couldn't help myself. I really, really couldn't afford it. But, I did it anyway!

I guess I was just feeling sorry for myself because I need to go to the doctor and have been putting it off. Nothing special wrong with me. Just a regular visit to get regular blood tests and renew prescriptions. But, I have issues with doctors.

I should have bought more cartos and batteries. But, I needed a new shiny to make me feel better.

And, I always have the vapocalypse excuse to fall back on.

I have thought about a REO with a RM2, like the idea, but not really into box mods, but it would also need to be VV, and I just haven't seen one I want. Glad you popped in to say hello. Hope all is well. :)

But, you shouldn't need VV if you're wrapping your own coils. You just wrap to match your battery voltage.

In theory anyway.

Obviously, it's not really that simple or I wouldn't be stocking up on Hybris!

It's not that simple. A battery fully charged is 4.1v/4.2v, so you wrap a coil with that voltage in mind, as you use it the voltage drops to 3.7v, now your coil does not match the voltage/wattage you built the coil for. Also getting the same ohms in 2 coils to be the same is harder than it sounds.

With a VV device that has both Buck (lower volts) & Boost (raise volts) circuits, you put your preferred coil on, set the volts, and it stays the same for the entire life of the battery charge. If I set my Hybris at 3.8v with a 4.1v full charged battery, it outputs 3.8v, when the battery drops to 3.6v, it is still putting out 3.8v to the atomizer, consistency in the vape.

It's not that simple. . . . . .

I know, Burnie. Isn't that what I said?

Although, it's pretty close to the same as long as you get a longer lasting battery (18650/REO Grand) and change out the battery before it starts to get low (as soon as you notice a drop in performance).

True, but even my Billet Box is rather large for a box mod. I prefer the smaller devices, but a trade off in battery life, so I need regulated. Really hope it works for you. :) I have seen a REO VV, but Ouch on the price, and also large due to battery size. Really wish they made a REO (squanker) that took 14500 batteries and was VV, I can dream can't I,

I was filling my shopping cart to use the 25% off to get another Hybris and noticed they've changed the batteries. Instead of 700mah, the new batteries are 2000mah. That's quite a difference!

Check the size, I think you were looking at 18650 batteries, and not the 14500.

Ok. I see what I did. Of course, I accidentally put the wrong batteries in my cart. But, then when I saw the top thing in my cart mention 2000 mah batteries, I was thinking the Hybris was the top thing. So, I was thinking they were including 2000 mah batteries in the kit.

Luckily, I was too busy getting ready for work to actually order. Otherwise, I would have bought the wrong batteries!

Oops!

Hi:laugh: Overtime...ot....ot... never in my life! almost over. Hope all is well. I'm sure it is. :) Just poppin' in to say hello :toast:

I know the feeling, just starting my "First of the Month" Rush (that will last for at least 3 weeks working 7 days a week, depending on weather). March and April are my 2 best months of the year. But that means More Money. :D

Burnie, I noticed that ByLeo has a Sophia with D-Base Tank on sale for 69 euros. That's a fantastic deal, I think. Right?

Do you happen to know how long they run their sales? I was hoping it might still be on sale when I get my tax refund in a week and a half. Otherwise, I might be able to swing it Tuesday when I get paid. But, then I would miss the Hybris sale.

I think it is an ongoing sale, no end date that I know of. I was going to order it the first of the month, but blew my budget on juice from the classies. I have had to set myself a budget on spending, as I was spending more than I should on stuff I didn't really need. Also think about the consumables for the Sophia. The ceramic cups do break, make sure to get extras (or extra pre-built coils). The o-rings for it are 9mm x 1.5mm for inside & 1.5mm x 13mm for end caps. Their prices are a little high for me on o-rings, but unless you want to get mass quantity, then it is what it is.

All rested. Now, is there anything else I should get from by Leo?

In the videos, they show using their straight drip-tip for when you want to slide the tank up to get to the coil (for when you're using a tall tank). Do you do it that way?

I was wondering about the materials used. They use plexiglass for their D-Base tubes and for some drip-tips. Is this glass or plastic? And, some of their drip-tips say Acetal and look like plastic or delrin. But, in the description they say SS 304L. So, stainless steel?

They also have the Beck and drip-tips with a Beck built in. Do those really do anything? Have you tried one?

I never use the tall tank, only the 35m D-base tube. If using a longer tube, you will need one of their drip tips that will grip the Sophia to open it, none I have will do that.

I think the tanks are not glass, from what I understand. The Sophia is stainless 304L, as I am sure are the caps on the D-Base.

The Sophia has a built in Beck, so no need to get a Beck drip tip for it. The Beck drip tips are for using in other tank systems.

Go here to the ByLeo thread and ask Billie (or anyone else) and they might be able to answer questions better than me.

Hope that helped. :)

Hello folks! :) Photos please. Not familiar with all of your toys.
Here is an old picture.
HybrisDbaseSophia.jpg

Sorry, this is the best I can do for now. I just ordered it a few hours ago.

Pictures will come eventually.

So, how have you been lately? Still very busy? I guess I won't be seeing much of you or Burnie until about May, when things quiet down a bit?

Y'all, don't work TOO hard.

Killing myself with work, but not cigs. :)
