I didn't make too much of a fuss over my new Hybris when I got it because it wasn't all that impressive at first. Then I put some better batteries in it.

Now it's working great. When I buy my next Hybris, I'm going to throw in at least 4 batteries. Mine are mostly old and worn out.

BTW, was looking at the instructions for the Hybris and the Robust. They really are the same mod!

The Robust just added that stupid ring to the top. Which makes it pretty useless for eGo-threaded BCCs since the ring makes it likely that you won't be able to get the base part of the BCC out without taking it apart and using pliers. Stupid design.

Yes, Better batteries DO make a differance. I only use IMR batteries in mine, much better than the battery it comes with.

They are very much the same, but I think the Hybris was a redesign and is better. I did like the floating + pin in the Robust, but overall feel the Hybris is better. JMHO

Yes it is actually a Robust, but Aquavapor is calling it a clone of the mini Lambo, but all of the mini lambos that I looked up are way too big to compare it to this. Yeah, that ring was a problem for me at first so I bought an adapter to fix that dilemma back then. But I agree and it is a nightmare to clean especially with that pin.

I'm so sorry. Just think of it this way. You have wonderful possibilities to look forward to. Anticipation can be a good thing!

Or, so I keep telling myself.
Thanks for the nudge:)

Still don't understand why these companies insist on handing out those garbage batteries and to this day, Everyone says (including the battery experts) that they are not too safe to put in most of our mods.
The Robust is the only mod I've seen with a pin like that. I was really never crazy about it. I guess because, when cleaning it, I always thought it was going to snap off.

Here you go, Burnie. I think you need one of these: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008871/1788800-letter-pattern-leather-carrying-pouch-w-lanyard

Or, another cute idea: One of these attached to one of these hanging from a belt loop. I might even try that to attach to the strap of my purse. I like it.
Very nice DH! :)

Yea, But I would have to use it for it to do any good.

Okay now, you only live once and as of now, I believe I'm going to live a little longer because of all of this, so then I will have more time to pay for all of these toys, right? Should I go to Ebay or not eusa_wall.gif

Well, I don't like to wear lanyards myself. But, they're good to have for special occasions. I only use one at work, when I'm hiding my vape under my shirt for bathroom breaks.

Maybe you should just throw a lanyard in your tackle box or anywhere there's a special need.

It depends. Is it just that you 'shouldn't', like it's being a little naughty? Or, is it that you really, really shouldn't?

If it's just a little naughty, DO IT!!!

No none of the above. I just have to slow down a little because I recently have been naughty with my credit card....
SOOOOOO, I'll DO IT! :toast:
Do you know if the Chinese Holiday is going to make this a longer wait?

What color did you choose, IMRs? I like all of them except the silver. The silver looks so cold to touch.

The Chinese holiday? Probably!
 I got you a silver one.
No, I really like anything chromium, shiny, silver, or transparent (glass). Don't worry, it won't be cold.

I figured out where the whiskey flavor was coming from. It's from the Watermelon juice that came with the Hybris kit. I have yet to find a really good Watermelon that's right on the money.
DH, I'm getting impatient already! I checked the iSick listing yesterday and today and they keep moving the estimated arrival up by 1 day. :pop:
I was hoping we could celebrate your b-day with them. Well, there's still a chance though.

Well, mine says it's shipped and should be here between Oct. 8 and 11. In plenty of time for my birthday.

I was just over on the iStick thread and saw something else cute:

It's like a combination iStick (small, cute, and VW) and a Billet Box (built-in carto-tank). Except that the cartos aren't standard. They're proprietary.

Oh, well. But, it is cute.

All these cute things are great. But, they're still just fancy versions of Twists/Spinners. Even the MVP2, which I have and do really like. But, still just a battery. Not replaceable.

I can see getting one of this and one of that to play with as long as it's cheap enough. It's great to have a throw away for out and about. I just try to stay focused on the long term a little.

The Hybris, the Robust, the little (no longer in production) original Reo Mini, the FT M11, and the little FT KSD Novice all take 14500 batteries. They should last me a good, long time.

I agree. Well, I also received an email this morning (no set date yet). Just said 'shipping label created'. I'm not super familiar with Ebay, but I was curious why they said "they had to take the listing down" for the iStick?

I've used the little blue glass evod for the last couple of days at work and wow does it love to drain the juice And the battery but it IS really tasty!
Have a nice rest of the day guys & girls. :)

Guess what?!

It does burn a little hot when the battery is full. But, it's ok for most of my toppers. And, it's so cute!

The only thing is that they neglected to include the 510-to-eGo adapter that was supposed to be shipped with it. Sent them a message. So, hopefully they'll send me one. I wouldn't care except that I've never seen one like it, with the handy knurled ring at the bottom.

So, hopefully you should get yours in a few days. Crossing my fingers.

 That's great! Wow, that is really tiny! I'm really disappointed though about the adapter. I hope they just made a mistake and they do send it to you.
I'm still unsure what you mean when you say it runs hot. Can't you just turn it down??
Thanks for the heads up. Enjoy! :)

I have it set at the lowest setting (3.0 volts, which is 5.2 watts on my 1.7 ohm carto) and it burns a little hotter than my MVP2 at 8.0 watts on the same carto. So, it's not REALLY at 3.0 volts and 5.2 watts eventhough it says it is.

There's been a lot of talk on the iStick thread about the iStick not being able to lower the voltage below whatever the current battery voltage is. So, when you're battery is fully charged, it apparently can't really go below 4 volts until the battery charge gets a little lower.

That is just wrong for them to say it goes down to 3V, when it Doesn't. Don't think I would want one, as I am normally at 3.6V or below on the Hybris most of the time.
