I'm not going to say that I don't believe you, however if your second MVP is already losing it's charge due to your heavy vaping profile, you must be going through 18xxx's like candy. The MVP uses a standard LiPo battery pack and it's charge/discharge profile is going to be the same as any 18xxx's. So even though the ProVari is still going strong, you still must be going through batteries like a mad man.

In your example, you get your ROI rather quickly, but you have to admit a 14ml a day vape, is not typical. For my vaping profile (2ml to 3ml a day) my ROI is going to be much longer than yours.

And if your profile is as extreme as you mention, then by all means, a "disposable" battery unit isn't for you. Anyone who wipes through LiIon batteries that quickly needs to replace them.

But my initial point stands. Going through 5 to 10 KR8080D's in a year back in 2010 was not unhead of, which made forking out $200.00 for a ProVari much easier. Your profile not withstanding, for a good portion of the vapers out there, the quality of products out there now, makes a ProVari ROI extend out to several years vs 1 year. It's something to keep in mind.

as for 14 ml, yes, that's a lot,,,,,,,,,,,but I do vape a dual coil, and that accounts for at least some of it,,,,,,I think I was at about 10ml before I started using a dual coil.

no clue, I prefer volts,,,,,I generally vape a 2.1 ohm dual coil head at 4 volts.

I use AW batteries now, and I think they might last a bit longer than the MVP batteries,,,,,,,,,AND I said I get 4-5 hours out of an 1100mah 18490,,,,,,,,and I ALSO said I CAN KILL an MVP battery in 5 hours,,,,,,,,not that it happened every single time,,,,,,,,occasionally, I go 8 hours or so,,,,,,

it really just depends on how busy I am, what I'm doing,,,,,,,,

Why would an AW last longer than the MVP battery? They're both Chinese batteries with the same chemistry as far as I know. That's strange. I guess it's just one of those magic stick Provari things.

So I'm new to vaping.. I started with an ego and a pt3 which works quite well for me.. I like how it works and the hit is pretty nice so I got another as a spare.. All this talk about Provari's seems a bit over the top really. I appreciate that it is US made though.. and studying it online.. you can see it is a quality device.

It just looks so big.. I watched some reviews on youtube and that is one hefty device.

Is there anything of comparable quality with a smaller form factor?

I like the size of the ego.. it fits my hand and pocket very well.. but I do want to try a vv device to see how that tastes.

I don't care what it costs, but to get quality does it have to be so big?

You might consider an iTaste V3. 800mAh rechargeable battery which uses a USB charging cord which can be used as a passthru. Roughly the same size and same life expectancy as an eGo battery, not as durable as a Provari, and not repairable if it breaks or requires repair. Only $40 though.

This Provari talk reminds me of my motorcycle memories.
For years, metric owners have trashed Harley owners and their American made overpriced, overhyped bikes.

I bought a Harley and am checking out Provaris and will more than likely order one by weeks end.

there's nothing magical about the Provari,,,,,,,,,NOR is there anything MAGICAL about the MVP which you seem to think NEVER breaks.

Honestly, I just sense that the Provari gang feels threatened so they're coming out with all these subjective half truths. They started this clique. They put their device in their sig. Who does that? It's just strange to me. Now, there's a Chinese mod that's well built and also puts out a flat DC signal for 1/5th of the price and they see their edge fading away.

I want to join a Chinese mod/clone clique where we talk about the great performance we get for $30 and brag about our frugality.

They can't even flush mount their mods. Ha.

I wasn't thinking about the length so much as diameter.. and how it would fit in my pocket.

You can try basic VV with eGo twists, or Vision Spinners. I use the Vision Spinner 1300's when I go out dancing, because I don't want to leave my Provari on a table. They give the same vape - it's just supplying battery power, regardless of what battery/mod/device is doing it.

The MVP looks like a fairly decent system. It's not going to last as long as a Provari, but at that price, you'll have to replace it several times before the Provari is cheaper.

IMO, there are a lot of good VV options, and any option that doesn't support VV isn't worthwhile. (I do count VW as VV, as it is just a different way of getting the same result)

Never said that....Plenty of complaints about the center post. We've actually written to Innokin about it. Hopefully it will be fixed.

One thing I do like about Innokin is that they take their customer complaints seriously.

On the VV3, there was an issue with the bottom pulling out of the unit. They corrected that mid production run with a six rivet revision. On the VTR, there was an issue with the spinning ring on the 510 connector...Fixed in later units
On the MVP 1. Issue with fire button coming out. Fixed on MVP 2.
On the MVP 2. Switch wobble on the bottom. Fixed in later units of the same model.

Will the center pin issue be fixed??? Don't know, but based on their track history, no reason to see why it shouldn't. Also be aware that the center post issue seems to only affect certain models of clearos. For example I had 1 evod that had issues on both the vv3 and MVP 2. I have since moved to Mini PT 2's and have not had an issue since. The issue with the center pin is that it is "just on the cusp" of being too deep. A thread less deep and it would likely disappear completely. Who's to blame, the clearomizer or the battery. You can judge that for yourself. But nonetheless the suggestion has been made.

The bottom line is, Innokin does respond to feedback when there are issues brought up. Innokin users are impressed with the bang you get for your buck, which is pretty big, but we don't put our PV's on a pedestal and treat them as Mary Poppins....Practically Perfect in Every Way

I never said they don't break. Of course they do. I support MVP's because they rival most VW mods for a fraction of the price.

I sure as hell am not part of any Innokin Army. I use mech's (yes, those cheap, dirty Chinese clones) and RDA's more than anything these days. I think a Innokin gives the best value on the market though and would suggest their products to anyone. I also support Youde and HCigar. I guess I'm just not a patriot.

Hmm, center pin issues, connections that stretch out, wobbly bottom button, inconsistent ohm readings, non repairable battery, cheap materials. Lets not play that card. Nothing is fading away. If I really wanted to, I could put my Provari on the classifieds for a bit under retail and buy a couple MVPs, but honestly how many Provari owners are going out and doing that?
