I forgot to add one more reason I bought my Provari - if anything happens during the warranty period, I don't have to send it back myself; the B&M I bought it from will send it back and handle everything and give me a loaner until mine comes back. I'm not going to get that with anything else.

With service like that, you should at least post the name of said B&M. Seriously, a loaner? :thumb:

I can only speak for myself, but I enjoy the back and forth "sparring". And I just might learn something in the process, like the LED on the ProVari is used because it is the most liquid resistant display available.....And I just thought they were kind of "cheaping out...."
Here's some more tidbit facts about the Provari...

The default Provari comes in a satin silver finish for $159. Colors are optional in carokote finishes for an additional $25. This is a durable finish that many firearms use. People may ask why Provape charges more for the colored models. Provape doesn't paint them in house, but outsources them to an outside company. This costs Provape $25, so they only charge this amount to those customers who desire a colored Provari.

The default color for the LED display is red, with blue and green LED colors offered for $15 additional. The supplier charges Provape $15 more for the blue or green LED, so Provape only charges this additional amount to those customers who desire one of these LED colors.

People sometimes wonder why Provape charges additional for the battery extension cap. Other manufacturers charge the same amount for battery extensions. For example, AltSmoke charges $25 for their Kick extension sleeve for the Silver Bullet.

So instead of raising the overall price of a Provari across the board, Provape charges extra only for the above options to those customers who desire them. This keeps the basic Provari cost to a minimum for those on a budget.

I'm not well informed about the other components but i have worked in electronics long enough to know that not even all the various color displays combined on a provari are worth $15. Thats just poor sourcing and guess who they're feeding by paying that kind of price :D

Regarding the center pin issue on the MVP - I posted this in the fasttech post today regarding that issue on the SVD. I believe the solution could also work for the MVP:

There is a video showing a fix for fire button/center pin problems with the SVD. Just yesterday I used it to fix the center pin on mine and it worked beautifully! All you need is a #60 o-ring. Here's the link:

How to fix the Innokin, iTaste SVD E-Cig from the 5 second Red Button, 0.0 amp ground fault - YouTube

I found this to be a very easy and effective fix.

Before posting something like that, why dont you research exactly what type of LED and display they are using before jumping to the conclusion that its poor sourcing. It would make you appear more credible

Hungry WORKING Americans.

Provape uses US-made materials wherever they can in the Provari. The only components not made in America are certain parts for the circuit board which just aren't made here.

Provari: Made in the USA

Hazarada, most likely the color displays you are familiar with are made overseas by hungry Asians.

It's all good though....

I think Organic LED also loses its brightness much faster ..2x-3x as fast @ some wavelengths (450–495 nm). Also there are some minor issues with reflectivity and ease of view outdoors where the LED is again superior but OLED tech is improving rapidly so IMHO OLED is the future, just not right now..

You can still buy 'em. Brand new. Here. I won't use anything else.

We have a couple of the clicky-clicky ones here too, my boyfriend also won't use anything else (but I've been using a natural keyboard for some 20 years so I can't go back - would love to have a clicky natural :D)
